Cement trucks, armored cars, motorcycles, army tanks and lots of “teacher, teacher, what does that do?” This is an opportunity to have your elementary students experience the world of careers. COW Day is a static display of 45 vehicles for your students. The students can walk around and observe a
wide variety of vehicles that represent all U.S. Department of Education Career Clusters. Students can talk
to the drivers and actually touch and see how these vehicles operate. Presenters will also discuss related
careers tied to a particular vehicle as it relates to a broad industry.
Prior to COW Day, a
career lesson plan will be
emailed to each
participating teacher to be
used to teach career
awareness, career
clusters, AchieveTexas,
and the student’s role in
creating self advocacy for
career planning.
To register for “COW” Day fax this completed flyer to (512) 919-5155 Please plan for a ratio of no more than 10:1 between Adult Chaperones and students.
