The Sacrament of Holy Baptism Travis Jordan and Annalee Jordan Annalee Rose Jordan, is the daughter of Travis and Cassidy Jordan, granddaughter of Billy & Ginger Reese and Julius Jordan

Baptismal congregational response Do you, as Christ’s body the church, Reaffirm both your rejection of sin and your commitment of Christ? We do. Will your nurture one another in the Christian faith and life and include Annalee Rose now before you in care? With God’s help we will proclaim the good news and live according to the example of Christ. We will surround Annalee Rose with a community of love and forgiveness, that she may grow in her trust of God, and be found faithful in her service to others. We will pray for her, that she may be a true disciple who walks in the way that

leads to life.

The Welcoming of the Jordan family Rev. Tommy Wilkes

Pastoral Prayer and Lord’s Prayer Rev. Randall Haase Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever, Amen!

Homily “Simplify” Rev. Tommy Wilkes

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith And be closer drawn to Thee. Refrain: Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died; Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the power of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine. Refrain Oh, the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God I commune as friend with friend! Refrain

Prayer of Confession (Exodus 20) Rev. Randall Haase

God of the Covenant, we thank you for the promises you have made and kept with us through the ages. The strength of your love binds us together in spite of our many shortcomings. You make clear the expectations for your children in the commandments you handed down to your servant Moses. And yet, too often we treat those laws as if they were a menu to pick and choose from as it suits us. Lord, we confess our sins before you. God, bring us back into true covenant with you. Through your grace, remind us yet again that your love for us has never wavered. We pray in the forgiving name of Jesus. Amen.

Words of Assurance Rev. Randall Haase

God’s promises are true and unbroken. God’s grace is sweet and abundant. God’s word is perfect and life giving. Come, enter into the joy of God’s forgiving love!

Sacrament of Holy Communion (See instructions below and liturgy insert)

Communion Logistics Due to our high state of safety with Covid19, Holy Communion will be consecrated

and distributed through baggies to the pews. The congregation is invited to prepare the elements by removing the cellophane on the top layer to release the bread and then open the container below to release the juice. We will attempt to take communion together once everyone has the elements. Once we are prepared, the congregation will be invited to remove their masks and take holy communion as a congregation. The towelette is enclosed so that you might wipe down your hands once you have taken communion. When finished, please place the towelette and the packaging of the cup in the baggie and dispose when you leave the sanctuary.

Prayer & Benediction Rev. Tommy Wilkes Choral Benediction The Irish Blessing Chancel Choir & Congregation

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be at your back. May the sun shine warmly on your face. May the rain fall softly on your fields.

And until we meet again, until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
