The thickness of applied coating is approx. 4 mm. Typical uses CEILCOTE 505 Coroline is perfectly suited as a lining system for structural components made of both concrete and steel that are subjected to aggressive and destructive media, especially acids and strong alkaline media. The coating is also frequently used as corrosion resistant floor covering. Typical fields of application are: lining of tanks lining of trenches substructures for appliances/equipment lining of process equipment floor coverings Advantages resistance to temperatures of up to 80°C excellent adhesion to steel and concrete substrates superior mechanical properties successful application in areas that are exposed to aggressive media, e.g. alkaline pickling agents, acids and organic chemicals Chemical resistance Information on the chemical resistance properties will be provided on request. Substrate Structural components made of either steel and/or concrete may serve as substrate. Concrete structures and all steel structures must meet the requirements of DIN EN 14879-1. Surface pretreatment Steel surfaces shall be abrasive blasted to a metallic white finish. A preparation degree of SA 2 ½ as specified in DIN EN ISO12944-4 and a "medium (G)" roughness degree as specified in DIN EN ISO 8503-1 must be attained; minimum roughness R z = 70 μm. After blast cleaning the steel surface must be primed. Concrete surfaces must be prepared by abrasive blasting or other suitable mechanical methods to remove cement slurries, cement skin, loose or brittle particles, defects and parting compounds. The residual moisture of the concrete surface shall be < 4%. The concrete substrate should exhibit a compressive strength of at least 25 MPa. Application CEILCOTE 505 Coroline consists of a two-component Primer, a three-component Base Coat, a two- component Laminate Layer, which is reinforced with the CEILCOTE Glasscloth 330, and a three-component Top Coat. CEILCOTE 505 Coroline

Glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin coating for steel and concrete surfaces exposed tosevere process conditions

DescriptionThe well-proved epoxy resin based CEILCOTE 505Coroline system is reinforced with one glass fibrelayer and can be subjected to severe processconditions. The thickness of applied coating isapprox. 4 mm.

Typical usesCEILCOTE 505 Coroline is perfectly suited as alining system for structural components made ofboth concrete and steel that are subjected toaggressive and destructive media, especially acidsand strong alkaline media. The coating is alsofrequently used as corrosion resistant floorcovering. Typical fields of application are:• lining of tanks• lining of trenches• substructures for appliances/equipment• lining of process equipment• floor coverings

Advantages• resistance to temperatures of up to 80°C• excellent adhesion to steel and concrete

substrates• superior mechanical properties• successful application in areas that are

exposed to aggressive media, e.g. alkalinepickling agents, acids and organic chemicals

Chemical resistanceInformation on the chemical resistance propertieswill be provided on request.

SubstrateStructural components made of either steel and/orconcrete may serve as substrate. Concretestructures and all steel structures must meet therequirements of DIN EN 14879-1.

Surface pretreatmentSteel surfaces shall be abrasive blasted to ametallic white finish. A preparation degree of SA2 ½ as specified in DIN EN ISO12944-4 and a"medium (G)" roughness degree as specified in DINEN ISO 8503-1 must be attained;

The residualmoisture of the concrete surface shall be < 4%. Theconcrete substrate should exhibit a compressivestrength of at least 25 MPa.

ApplicationCEILCOTE 505 Coroline consists of a two-componentPrimer, a three-component Base Coat, a two-component Laminate Layer, which is reinforced with theCEILCOTE Glasscloth 330, and a three-component TopCoat.
