Introduction The Carmelo C. de los Cientos, Sr. National Trade School ended the year 2014 with noticeable and fairly impressive accomplishments. The contingents of the Philippine National Skills Competition from CCNTS , Mrs. Yolanda Manabat (Coach) and Ms. Clarissa Mercadal (Competitor), bagged the Silver Medal in Beauty Therapy participated in by various regions in the country. Moreover, the EGACE physical targets of the school were remarkably achieved too, surpassing more than 100% as evident in the school’s record of accomplishment. CCNTS has achieved recognition as well with the awarding of the Best GAD Implementing TTI in Region XI for 2014 and Mrs. Marlyn Inez, Librarian I/GAD Focal, as the Most Active TTI GAD Focal Person. Likewise, the installation of 5 newly hired personnel and the retirement of Mr. Serapion Cagang, CCNTS Admin. ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT 2014

I. Introduction

The Carmelo C. de los Cientos, Sr. National Trade School ended the year 2014 with noticeable and fairly impressive accomplishments. The contingents of the Philippine National Skills Competition from CCNTS , Mrs. Yolanda Manabat (Coach) and Ms. Clarissa Mercadal (Competitor), bagged the Silver Medal in Beauty Therapy participated in by various regions in the country. Moreover, the EGACE physical targets of the school were remarkably achieved too, surpassing more than 100% as evident in the school’s record of accomplishment.

CCNTS has achieved recognition as well

with the awarding of the Best GAD Implementing TTI in Region XI for 2014 and Mrs. Marlyn Inez, Librarian I/GAD Focal, as the Most Active TTI GAD Focal Person.

Likewise, the installation of 5 newly hired personnel and the retirement of Mr. Serapion Cagang, CCNTS Admin. Aide III, from the government service added highlights during the last quarter.

Moreover, remarkable accomplishments particularly in the implementation of the TWSP and STEP Programs conducted in both District 1 and 2 of Davao del Sur catering more than 600 scholars also added the busy days of the 4th quarter.

These significant achievements of CCNTS for year 2014 were made possible because of the joint effort of all CCNTS workforce and the never-ending support of its partners.

TM Level I Training

School & Tech-Based Training

For CY 2014, CCNTS has a total of 2,032 enrolled in all program modes while 1,598 of them had graduated. Out of these graduates, 1,079 were assessed and 1,007 were certified.

Scholarships

For CY 2014, CCNTS has catered 100 TM I and 406 C4TP scholars. Likewise, 125 TWSP scholars also graduated with the following qualifications as follow; BPP NC II (25), Cookery NC II (25), EIM NC II (25), Bartending NC II (25), Housekeeping NC II (25),.

TM Level I participants from the Department of Education –Davao del Sur Division and of the various technical vocational institutions of Davao del Sur.

Social Marketing and Advocacy

For the year under review, CCNTS was able to hold SMAC events with Mrs. Filomena Canoy and Mrs. Marlyn Inez as the frontliners both in Davao City and Digos City, respectively. The school had also signed contract with Miles FM Radio Station for plugging and school updates with 12 SMAC reports including the conduct of recorrida were also submitted.

Quality Management

YP4SC

As of December, 2014, CCNTS had served 2,808 clients under this program. This figure was obtained from YP4SC profiles, scholars and short-term programs enrollees as well as regular trainees with NCAE results.

Blue Desk

For 2014, the school has monitored and tracked a total of 1,122 graduates with employment, wage employment and self-employment. Moreover, CCNTS had also submitted 12 blue desk reports that includes clients, letter senders and text messages senders who have assisted.

For 2014, CCNTS was able to host the seminar workshop for Persons with Disability in coordination with the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur particularly the Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

CCNTS attended the Seminar on Records and Archives Management spearheaded by TESDA XI as part of the agency’s quality process on records and document control.

Capability Building Programs

For the year under review, 100% employees were sent to attend conferences, trainings and seminars to various agencies and venues.Likewise, policy advisories were also formulated to ensure smooth flow of office operation.

CCNTS 16th Commencement Exercises

The CCNTS 15th Commencement Exercises was held last April 25, 2014 at the CCNTS Cagas Gymnasium.

The said occasion was highlighted with an awarding of Plaques of Appreciation to the various industry partner-awardees of the Dualized Training Program. Mr. Roger Sanchez, a CCNTS graduate and now a skilled worker employed at Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative was invited as this year’s guest speaker.

MYPA / YEPA cum Teambuilding

CCNTS conducted its Midyear Performance last June 10-11, 2014 at Binaton & Kapatagan, Digos City. Likewise, the school was also declared of the dance competition held last December 21, 2014 during the Year End Performance Assessment of TESDA XI. And to determine strategies to be applied in the succeeding year, the CCNTS celebrated its Strategic Planning cum YEPA & Teambuilding at Seagrass Resort, IGACOS.

Participation to ACFAM

The 2014 Annual Conference on Fiscal & Administrative Management (ACFAM) was successfully attended by CCNTS at SECDEA, IGACOS, spearheaded by the Finance and Administrative Division (FASD) of TESDA XI.

2014 CSC Founding Anniversary

CCNTS represented by its 7 employees participated the Tree Planting Activity spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission Field Office of Davao del Sur last September 19, 2014 at Brgy. Soong, Digos City.
