HIGHWAYMAINTENANCEAPPLICATIONS
Imagine being able to install concrete on slopes, in water and in other hard to reach locations - with no forms, no mixing and minimal equipment. Concrete Cloth is a flexible fabric that will bend and curve, enabling it to follow the natural contours of the land including ditches and slopes. It can’t be overhydrated, so it can be installed in the rain or under water, even using salt water. And, because it comes in a variety of sizes, including rolls small enough for two men to carry, it reduces the need for heavy machinery. The fabric structure reinforces the concrete, and reduces cracking while using up to 95% less material than conventional methods. Concrete Cloth has a low alkaline reserve and a low wash rate for a low ecological impact. It meets many ASTM and other standards and is resistant to chemicals, weather, wear, and UV.

Many Uses
Concrete Cloth has been used in highway maintenance applications including:
Downslope Swale LiningSlope DrainsFlumes
Slope Protection
Slope PavingBridge Scour
Culvert Relining
CMPConcrete
Mow Strips
Fence LinesDust Suppression
Eliminate Downslope Swale Erosion
Control of roadway storm water runo can be a real challenge. Concrete Cloth has been used by SCDOT and GADOT to control downslope drainage in problem prone areas. The ability to collect and control roadway runo is critical to long term maintenance of roadways, and embankment slopes.

US Patent 8,287,982. Other patents pending.
Concrete Cloth may be used to protect slopes alongside bridge abutments as shown here for the NCDOT. The side slope of this bridge approach was in danger of becoming eroded and the abutment compromised. This application was quick and easy, and resulted in an area protected from stormwater flow and erosion!
Keep Soil Where it Belongs with Slope Protection
Extend the Life of Culverts by Relining
Concrete Cloth was chosen to line the invert of two aged culverts, providing protection and extending the useful life of these storm water lines. By using the Concrete Cloth solution the roadway could remain open, and the lining installation could be performed quickly, at a small precentage of the cost of alternatives or complete replacement.
Reduce Maintenance Time and Money with Fence Line Mow Strips
Every year hand weed whacking or spraying around overgrown fence lines costs municipalities tens of thousands of dollars. Concrete Cloth can be installed to reduce future hand work along fences and guardrails once and for all! Simply place and water and the need for edging along that fenced area is gone!
