God desires that everyone who has ever lived becomes amember of the His divine Family. Throughout the year, weare reminded of His commandments to keep the HolyDays. These festivals picture God’s Plan for everyone.

During the spring, there are three festivals.The first is the Passover; the second is theDays of Unleavened Bread; and the third isPentecost. In this Lesson, we will learnabout the next four festivals, whichoccur in the fall.

On every Holy Day, God com-mands that we give an offering.Make sure you save yourpennies, nickels and quar-ters to give to God’sChurch to do the Work.

TheFall Feast Days

2LEVEL 1 / FALL LESSON

The Feast of Trumpets

The Feast of Trumpets is the fourth Holy Day in God’sPlan. It pictures events that will occur in the near future.

The word “trumpets” is the Hebrew word “teruwah.” Thisword means “an ear-splitting noise.” Have you ever hearda trumpet blown? The blast that comes from a trumpet isvery loud and can be heard at great distances. This FeastDay is called the Feast of Trumpets because it pictures atime when a trumpet will be blown at the Return of Jesus

Christ. Everyone alive onthe earth will hear this trum-pet and know that Christ isreturning.

For three-and-a-half yearsbefore Christ returns, therewill be a huge World War III.Many people will die. On thelast year, seven trumpetswill be blown. The first sixtrumpets will bring plaguesupon the whole earth.Remember when Pharaoh

would not let the Israelites go, God sent multiple plagueson the Egyptians. This will happen again, except theplagues will be on the whole world.

During this time, God’s Church will be in a Place ofSafety. The seventh trumpet occurs when Christ returns.He will set up the kingdom of God on earth.

The Day of Atonement

The Day of Atonement is not like the other Holy Days. Itis different because it is a day of fasting. Fasting is goingwithout food and water for an entire day, from sunset tosunset.

This day pictures the time when Satan will be takenaway. When Christ returns, He will replace Satan. Rightnow, Satan sits on the throne of this world. He broadcastshis nature to people around the world. This is why they donot obey God.

However, when Christ returns, He will replace Satan.He will send God’s Spirit to direct the people of the world.Satan will be taken away for 1,000 years. He will not haveany power or control anymore. Without Satan directingthe world, everyone will be “at one” with God, and Christwill be King.

4LEVEL 1 / FALL LESSON

The Feast of Tabernacles

The Feast of Tabernacles is the sixth Holy Day in God’sPlan. It pictures the time when Christ will be King over theEarth. Once Satan is bound (the Day of Atonement),Christ will become King. He will be King for 1,000 years.This period is called the Millennium. With Christ as theKing, everyone will be living and obeying God’s way of life.They will be keeping His Sabbath day and Holy Days.

During the millennium, those whoare sick will behealed. Thosewho are blindwill see. Thosewho are deafwill hear again.Animals will betame. Lionswill eat plantsand strawinstead ofmeat. Childrenwill be able toplay with bearcubs andsnakes, and will not be hurt.

Children will be able to play on thestreets. There will be laughter andhappiness throughout the whole

world. With God’s laws in place, people will learn to obeyHim and will be blessed in return. There will be lesspoverty, disease, and hunger.

Christ will need many helpers and leaders to teach allthese people. As a child in God’s Church, you will havethe chance to be a leader and help Christ teach the lawsof God.

Today, we keep this Feast by leaving our homes andstaying in a hotel where God’s Feast is held. This Feast is

seven days long. We stay in a hotel the entire time. Godmakes sure we have enough money to attend by teachingus to save our second tithe. We can use our second titheto get to the Feast, to pay for the hotel and to pay for activ-ities. If we have extra money left over, we can give it as anoffering at the end of the Feast.

This is a special Feast because it pictures a time wheneveryone will live under God’s laws and commandmentsand the whole earth will be peaceful.

The Last Great Day

The Last Great Day is the final Holy Day of the year. Itoccurs right after the Feast of Tabernacles. This day pic-tures the time when all who ever lived not knowing God’sway of life will be brought back to life. They will be giventhe chance to learn God’s Way and to obey Him. Therewill be many, many people brought back to life. This eventis called the “Great White Throne Judgment.” Everyonewill learn to obey God and will receive happiness, peace,and prosperity.
