Places Lived
Chicago (briefly), STL most of the time, though have stayed in many cities due to my job as an
IT consultant for Digital Equipment Corp and Computer Sciences Corp
Career:
Attended Washington Univ (Experimental Psychology AB, Neuro Psychology graduate
studies. Attempted phd, but after my 4th dissertation failed to yield conclusive results I gave
up!!)
Learned computer programming on a part time job as undergraduate and worked for the Washing
Univ computer facilities half time during graduate studies. I enjoyed the programming more
than lab work so embarked on that as my career, primarily in healthcare but also large projects in
logistics, product engineering, and manufacturing.
At least tentatively, retired this past May.
Hobbies/interests:
Sailing, tennis (until my shoulder froze), cycling, hiking. Recently started studying ethnogenesis
and the history of community formations.
Still exploring possibilities for my second act.
Maintained Connections:
Greg Holzhauser, but hoping to re-establish more relations at the reunion; I had no idea there
were still so many classmates still (or returned) to the stl area!
Favorite CBC Memories:
Getting caught breaking the rules, playing football (such as I could), working on the science
project with brother Luke Stephens, hanging with the guys in our class.
looking forward to catching up with everyone!!
Mike
