CBC-150 Series Clutch/Brake Controls

IntroductionThe Wa rner Elec tric C B C-150 series is a fa mily

of c lutch/brake co ntrols w hich co nvenientlymount to the conduit box cover of the ElectroModule line of electromagnetic clutches andbrakes. The C B C-150 se ries co ntrols are dua lcha nnel devices ava ila ble in two mod els:

1. Clutch/B rake Wiringa. BRAKE (RED LED):

Co nnect the red w ire to o ne of thebra ke lea ds ; co nnec t the red /w hitestripe wire to the other lead wire of thebrake (or clutch).

b. CLUTCH (G REEN LED):Co nnect the b lue wire to o ne of theclutch lea ds ; co nnec t the blue/w hitestripe wire to the other lead wire of theclutch (or brake).

2. AC Input Wiringa. BRAKE (RED LED):

C onne ct the blac k/red stripe w ire to thehot s ide o f the AC po we r so urcethrough the switch and fuse as indicat-ed .

b. CLUTCH (G REEN LED):C onne ct the b la ck/blue s tripe w ire tothe hot s ide o f the AC po we r so urcethrough the switch and fuse as indicat-

ed .c . Connect the white wire to the neutralside (other hot side for the CBC-150-2)of the AC power.

3. Se cure the control to the conduit box withthe (4) 10-32 Type F s c rews furnis hed .

This is a floating type powersupply and is not referenced to AC ground.

Under no circumstances should any of the out-put wire leads be connected to earth or chas-

sis ground as the unit will be destroyed.

1. The control must be mounted in a closed metal cab inet.2. The power connection betw een control and c lutch/brake must be MADE

using shield c ab le.3. The control connection must utilize shielded ca bles.4. The shield of the cab les must be grounded at both ends.5. Po wer connections and control connection must be plac ed in separate

canals.
