An adjustment of the volumetric ow at a later stage is possible (setting cam on housing). The control unit is protected with a cover. The controller can be assembled in any assembly position. For maintenance, service, retrotting, etc., inspection ope- nings in sufcient number and size must be provided on- site. Available connections are socket/socket, ange/ange or pipe/pipe. The constant volume ow controller CAV-S is suitable for supply and exhaust air ow control and the air volumes set- points are step adjustable (1...10 steps). To ensure accuracy, a sufcient ow route should be maintained. Attention: The CAV-S is an adjusted controller working by the mechanism of action principle. Tampering with the controller, whether manually or mechanically, is prohibited. When a high volumetric ow setting has been selected, the damper leaf must never be closed manually. Otherwise, the control mechanism will be changed, resulting in a loss of control accuracy. The range of application must always be complied with. If the CAV-S is used beyond its allowed range of application, this will result in mechanical overload and thus in a loss of control accuracy. Product description

The mechanical constant fl ow volumetric controller CAV-S is made of galvanized steel and works independently wi-thout requiring additional energy. The housing design is available in round or rectangular

Functions description

The central ball-bearing fl ap is moved by the air current. The control unit with control cam, spring and damper is at-tached to the outside of the galvanised sheet steel housing.

The required volumetric fl ow is set in-factory. An adjustment of the volumetric fl ow at a later stage is possible (setting cam on housing). The control unit is protected with a cover. The controller can be assembled in any assembly position.

For maintenance, service, retrofi tting, etc., inspection ope-nings in suffi cient number and size must be provided on-site.

Available connections are socket/socket, fl ange/fl ange or pipe/pipe.

The constant volume fl ow controller CAV-S is suitable for supply and exhaust air fl ow control and the air volumes set-points are step adjustable (1...10 steps).

To ensure accuracy, a suffi cient fl ow route should be maintained.

Attention:

The CAV-S is an adjusted controller working by the mechanism of action principle. Tampering with the controller, whether manually or mechanically, is prohibited. When a high volumetric fl ow setting has been selected, the damper leaf must never be closed manually. Otherwise, the control mechanism will be changed, resulting in a loss of control accuracy.

The range of application must always be complied with. If the CAV-S is used beyond its allowed range of application, this will result in mechanical overload and thus in a loss of control accuracy.

We would like to point out that to clean the stainless steel design, only suitable corresponding cleaning materials must be used!

Installation information

To avoid unnecessary controller errors, the min. distances according to the following table / drawings must be observed. For combinations of several connection pieces or pieces with fi re dampers or silencers, the larger minimum distances must be observed.

The volumetric fl ow controllers round and rectangular can be assembled with horizontal or vertical damper axis.
