Our parish owes a huge debt of gra tude to the Strategic Planning Commi ees who have been working so diligently since January to address current issues and to look forward to plan, suggest ideas, and make recommenda ons that will sustain our parish well into the next decade. I par cularly thank the commi ee chairs: Kerwin Hassing, Jerald Barbre, and Joseph Earnest for their extraordinary leadership with these commi ees. We will be reviewing the commi ee reports in the upcoming weeks and will keep you apprised of our forthcoming plans and ac ons.
Memorial Day: As Catholics we should remember those who gave their lives for country and freedom. Doing so at Mass is a par cular way for Catholics to celebrate this day. It is honorable for us Catholics to be patrio c and to remember the sacrifice that has been made for our freedoms. Gra tude for that sacrifice is our response on Memorial Day.
We should also recognize that this is a wonderful me to pray for peace and work for solu ons that will not require war and bloodshed. Finally, we should unite with the poor who are o en vic mized by war. We should think about what we can do to help those who are vic ms and refugees of war.
I men oned a few weeks ago that our fiscal year ends in just one month (June 30). On behalf of the Finance Council, I ask you to “make up” for a Sunday or two when you were not present, or when you simply forgot to bring your Sunday Offering since last July. Please consider a “make up” contribu on before June 30. In so doing, you will help us to balance our budget and bring the fiscal year to a posi ve financial close.
Finally, I ask all who have not yet made a contribu on or pledge to the Idaho Catholic Appeal to do so within the next few weeks so that we can finalize this campaign for the current year. Thank you to those who have already par cipated in this diocesan-wide cause. See you in church. .

Nuestra parroquia está en una gran deuda de agradecimiento hacia los Comités de Planificación Estratégica que han trabajado tan diligentemente desde el mes de Enero analizando la situación actual, planeando, sugiriendo ideas y ofreciendo recomendaciones con el propósito de mantener bien y de la mejor manera nuestra parroquia en la próxima década. En par cular, agradezco a los presidentes de los comités Kerwin Hassing, Jerald Barbre y Joseph Earnest por su extraordinario liderazgo en estos comités. Revisaremos los informes del comité en las próximas semanas y lo mantendremos informado de nuestros próximos planes y acciones. Día de Conmemoración: Como católicos deberíamos recordar aquellos que dieron sus vidas por el país y la libertad. Recordarlos durante la misa es una manera especial para que los católicos celebren este día. Es un honor para nosotros los católicos ser patrió cos y recordar el sacrificio que se ha hecho por nuestra libertad. Nuestra oración y profundo agradecimiento por tan gran sacrificio es nuestra respuesta al Día de Conmemoración. También debemos considerar que este es un momento muy oportuno para orar por la paz y trabajar por soluciones que no requieran guerra ni más derramamiento de sangre. Finalmente, debemos acercarnos a los pobres que a menudo son víc mas de la guerra. Deberíamos pensar en lo que podemos hacer para ayudar a aquellos que son víc mas y refugiados de la guerra. A nombre del Consejo de Finanzas, le pido de favor "reponer" el Domingo o dos que no estuvo presente, o cuando simplemente olvidó traer su ofrenda dominical durante este año fiscal pasado. Considere hacer su contribución de "reponer" antes del 30 de Junio. Al hacerlo, nos ayudará a equilibrar nuestro presupuesto y cerrar el año fiscal de la mejor manera.
Finalmente, les pido a quienes aún no han hecho una contribución o promesa a la Campaña Católica de Idaho que lo hagan dentro de las próximas seis semanas para que podamos finalizar esta campaña para el año en curso.
