itual sustenance on the go, available 24/7, ready when you
are! Whether you're on the road, out of town, or a summer visitor,
you can always stay connected!
Prayer for Director of Music
I would like to ask for your prayers in the upcoming weeks -
after discussion with our musicians, Parish Council and Fi-
nance Council, we’d like to work on elevating and enhancing
our musical experience at Mass, so we will soon be looking to
hire a part-time Director of Music for our parish. Please pray
that the Lord will send us someone for this ministry who is a
great fit and can invest their time and ability in helping en-
hance our music here at St. Joseph!

2021 Vocations Rosary Challenge
Join the Diocese of Superior Vocations Team in praying the
rosary for vocations in 2021. The team is challenging the faith-
ful of the Diocese to pray 1,200 rosaries throughout this year
for an increase of vocations to the priesthood, religious life,
and permanent diaconate.
Participating in the Rosary Challenge is easy. Pray a rosary
yourself or with a group (1 rosary prayed with 10 people = 10
rosaries), log on to Facebook and go to the Called North page,
and simply leave a comment on the pinned post at the top of
the page so we can keep track of how many rosaries have
been prayed.
Parish Council Members
Thank you to all of our outgoing Parish Council Members; Gail
Grassel, Tena Shamro, Iris Sanford, Dar Carson, Tom Burgess
and John McCabe (deceased). We are grateful to each of you
for serving our Parish and sharing your unique talents to guide
us in evangelization, growth and development.
We would also like to welcome our new Members; Nick Berens,
Andy Bonicatto, Amanda Geisler, Sarah Halberg, Eric Maki and
Cindy Schmid. We are happy to have you on board and look
forward to continuing the ministries this Council provides.

Coming Events
We would like to thank everyone for the generosity you’ve
expressed toward C.A.R.E. Empty Mitten campaign. Well
done!!! Together we have raised $777, that will go to help
people in our area to make ends meet. For a lot of them
C.A.R.E. is their only hope in time of need and you
contributed to that cause.
We are very happy to announce that our Spike Pawlowski is
back at home after 6 long weeks in the nursing home and
doing well. He is very grateful to everyone for the thoughts
and prayers and can not wait to be back in the front pew.
Beginning January 26 through February 1 the Diocese of
Superior will be holding Catholic School Week. Besides
giving a special tribute to these great educational institutions
we will be holding a special collection during that time. Your
generosity is absolutely vital for the existence of these
schools, which are directly contributing to the formation of
our Church’s future. Many of you went to a Catholic school
and were fortunate enough to send your children to one of
them, please give thanks for a great education you and your
family have received and donate as much as you can during
this time.
We are still far from reaching our CSA goal of $13,468, we
still have $4,738 to raise. Many thanks to all those who did
your part, filled up an envelope and contributed to this
campaign. We can not meet this goal without full
participation of the parish. Please remember, no gift is too
small. Online giving option is available.
Please remember in prayer: Jim Bartz, Jane Benson, Deb
Krauss, Melita Paulik , Melanie Szymkowiak, Carol Lepley,
Ginie Hlavac, Kyle Mollin, Eileen King, Toni White, Jerry

Prayer for Our Nation
Almighty God, our Rock and our Salvation, we beg You to pour
out your Holy Spirit upon our fractured nation. Heal the divi-
sions that separate us and remove all obstacles to authentic
unity. May You guide this great country of ours and lead our
citizens to embrace one another as neighbors and fellow coun-
trymen and women, created in Your own image and likeness.
Give us a fresh opportunity for renewal and true solidarity for
the common good of our homeland. May we return to our true
identity as a people of faith and charity. Help us to always re-
main One Nation, Under God, Indivisible with Liberty and Jus-
tice for All. AMEN
