    What does it mean to be a hero? Is it protecting your country or city? What about teaching a class or performing a surgery? Discovering heroic archetypes and acts of heroism are important to this story. These topics are all seen through the eyes of one little boy as he tries to discover what type of hero he is. Should he be a hero that protects and serves, one that gains knowledge and passes it on, or a hero that creates things that simply make us happy. What types of heroes are there and which type of hero should one become, these themes are to be explored throughout this world of ours full of heroes we admire.

    My concentration focuses on the story of a little boy trying to decide what type of hero he should become by exploring the different forms of what he believes to be heroism. In each piece the little boy wearing his red cape symbolizing how he idolizes a stereotypical superhero. At the same time he’s being thrown into serious situations like war and surgery to give both him and an audience a deeper understanding of how serious being a hero can really be.The fun of trying to become a hero with the want to save someone is what I want to show through this investigation.
