Detail of the 3D InSight effect is created by the marriage of scale structures and the different layers of colors on the inside and outside of the lure body before assembly, (detail from the back of a Koolie Minnow Long Lip 190). The Small Lip (SL) is present on two sizes, including a 125 floating and a 125 sinking. The action of this model is wide, made to move lots of water with its sides, so fish easily target them from afar.

The Medium Lip (ML) come with suspending models in 95 and 125 millimeters. Tight swimming action makes it a must for finicky fishes, and stop and go style retrieve. Some walleye fishermen love trolling this bait as every change in their boat’s direction gives them a subtle pause that may entice the predators to bite, specially in highly pressured areas and during tournaments.

Using the principle of a edged long bill originally developed for the Koolie Minnow, the ACast 165 Deep Runner (DR) goes down deep for real. Cast it or troll it, and you will be surprised to hit the bottom faster than you ever experienced before, mostly due to the thin silhouette of the ACast. As the Bonga Minnow in any size targets big fish, the hooks chosen fit that goal : Owner ST36 series for the 72 and 95 regular, and Owner ST46 for the full wired models.

Details of the Crankster’s head. Its brute face was designed to give it some real personality, for fish and angler, as a distinguishing mark. The eye signals are oversized, with the red blood SEBILE 3D holographic eyes always visible on this lure.

As bass and other predator species can attack straight on or sometimes just slap the lure with their mouth, the choice for Crankster’s hooks was simple : Owner ST36. Ultra sharp, very strong, thin wire, they provide every asset even pro anglers have learned to rely on to win!

The Crankster features a square-bill design on a deep-bodied crankbait, ie: it gives a big-meal-look in a relatively small bait size that can effectively go in and out of cover where fish like to hide and ambush.

The position of the back eye keeps the Flatt Shad under perfect balance. This is critical as this is the reason why this lure, unlike others, can be so gently twitched in a kind of finesse action commomly used for worms or vertical jigging. This motion is so deadly that bass, walleye and zander can’t resist it!

“The Flatt Shad was my “secret weapon” to win the Texas championship and the Texas division Angler-of-the-Year title in 2007. Heavier than other lipless baits of the same size it getsto the strike zone faster, but what is unique is that it still swims wonderfully even at an ultra slow retrieve. I let the Flatt Shad hit the grass bed then keep reeling to let the hooks cut the weeds, so my lure swims just above the spots where bass are hiding. They just have to open their mouth to swallow it!”

With a wide gliding trek, the Ghost Walker moves fluidly while leaving a wake in its path to lead predators right to the target. The lure performs best under calm conditions, benefiting from its long-casting ease and subtle splash on landing. Viewed from below, the lure’s broad body offers a bold presence accented by multiple flashes of light dispersing from its sides and underbelly. Due to the extreme casting distance of the Ghost Walker, it is best to work the lure with the rod tip high during early retrieve and then lowering the rod tip to complete the retrieve as it nears the boat. If fish are chasing, simply keep the rod tip down and reel without moving the rod: it makes the lure look like a waking fish or mouse and predators smash it!

The small lip has a very specific shape : it is rectangular, the fact that it is thin and long makes it very reactive, and gives it a wide action as a crazy minnow fleeing for life!

The Koolies SL come in a variety of colors. Some are more freshwater specific and have ST36 black nickel hooks ; others are more saltwater oriented and come with ST46 Owner hooks.

The medium lip (ML) has an almost round body; this allows a very complete array of swimming action, making this model the most versatile, and the most popular of all the Koolie Minnows.

Koolie ML is only equiped with Owner hooks, ST36 or ST46 depending on the color style.

The shape of the first part of the Koolie’s body shows that this takes most of the water resistance, creating turbulence by penetrating the water, so then the thinner tail can move with increased freedom - that magnifies the tails reaction.

The Medium Lip is a little bit off-center to the body : that helps impart a faster response from the lure as well as protects the hooks from snagging when fishing on the bottom.

Broadening the range the Koolie ML ads depth and versatility by complementing 7 sizes of lures. Gracefully diving to the 2-8 ft range is common for this model and in the case of the 102 and 160 we have extraordinary sinkers. These Koolies actually sink tail first to the chosen depth and then upon retrieval arcs into position and lumbers across structure as a weak, wounded and easy prey; they can be “counted down” to the preferred depth. Others models are floaters and benefit from a greater wobble than the SL and offer a more aggressive swimming action.

“I fish the shallow waters of southern Florida as a guide and as a competitor. Most of the time, the depths where I’m targeting snook, reds, trout, and tarpon are less than 1 ½ feet deep. That’s why I need lures to fish without fouling the hooks continually with grass – if I do, the bite is gone! I first tried the Rattsler 65 SL and it was amazing ! Yes, this lure swims at the correct level for the shallow angler, but also it is powered by a mass transfer system. The typical shad shape made by most brands are not conducive to long casting distances which is not the case for the Rattlser, if fact totally the opposite! I have never seen such a tiny bait cast such long distances and with pinpoint accuracy. This makes all the difference in the clear water flats I fish and gives me a more stealthy approach and greater hook up ratio!”

The Slim Stick is a reaction “walking” bait whose sleek curves give it an extremely nervous behaviour.
