Situation The Forge lies on Castle Street just off the centre of the town of Eccleshall. From the M6 junction 14 and Stafford pick up the A5013 signed towards Eccleshall. Travel through Great Bridgeford and after approximately 3 ½ miles drop into the centre of Eccleshall. At the main roundabout in the middle of town pick up Castle Street and the A5013 signed posted for Newcastle with the Forge Yard lying on the left after 100 yards (just after the Smithy Public House).

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. FOREWORD

This very interesting dispersal sale at the Forge arises as a result of the retirement of Mr & Mrs Edgar Swinnerton who have traded as E J A Frost Ltd for many decades. Locals may know that the late Mr Frost established the business in excess of 70 years ago and was succeeded by his son The Late Brian Frost and now upon the retirement of the next generation of the family this leads onto a final genuine dispersal sale. There are many diverse and varied items within the workshops including mig welders etc together with a wide array of associated tools some of which have seen little work. Within the spares and new parts section many agricultural items have been kept in stock including gate metal and trailer hook rings etc. Perusal of the catalogue will reveal the three Diesel Land Rovers all of which have onboard Lincoln Welding Sets which are powered via the PTO drive from the Diesel Engines. The Telehandler was purchased some years ago from a local Estate and has undertaken low hours for its age and is in good order. This family business has been known locally for its high standard of workmanship and buyers should attend and bid with confidence at this superb diverse event.
