CNMS Welcomes WCSC 4th Grade Students to

“Voices from the Past”

Castle North Middle School proudly hosted an authentic 18th century presentation of re-enactors, their lodgings, and accessories. The presen-tation featured Native Americans, British and Continental soldiers, Euro-pean settlers, German immigrants, and individuals representing modern America. The event was a collaborative effort between Jeremy Biggs, President of Native American Educational Resources, Inc., a non-profit organization and Castle North Middle School of the Warrick County School Corporation. The students who attended experienced authentic Native American displays and activities; and learned of modern day activ-ities that have been derived from Native American customs.

Student Council’s “Fandom Dance”

Date: Friday, April 17th

Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Place: CNMS Gym A

Tickets: $3.00

Students should dress in attire that reflects whatever

they are a fan of. There will be prizes for the most cre-

ative boy and girl attire. School dress code does apply.

Tickets will be sold during lunch next week and

at the door the night of the dance.

Dropping off and picking up directions: We would

like for sixth graders to be dropped off and picked up in

the front. 7th and 8

th graders should be picked up and

dropped off in the back of the school. If a parent is

picking up 6th grade students and also has a student

from another grade level, he/she should use the front

entrance.

Next week is National Love Your Library Week!

Leave Your Legacy at CNMS: Buy a book to be donated

to our library! Your student can choose a book from the

attached list and buy it for our library. It is easy!

The book will be inscribed with your student's name and

the date, and will be added to CNMS' library. Books will all

be hard covered for longevity, and they are VERY reason-

ably priced! Students for years will be able to share your

book. (see attachment: Book List Love Your Lib)

Friday, April 17: Dr. Seuss Day @ CNMS: Dress as your

favorite Dr. Seuss character or in your best Dr. Seuss ap-

parel. Everyone that shows the Dr. Seuss pride will be a

winner! The best-dressed character in the sixth, seventh,

and eighth grade will win an ice cream sundae from DQ.

If I can do it, so can you!
