APPLICATIONS The product is designed for use in original construction and for repairs that are subject to structural movement: Expansion and Control Joints, Perimeter Caulk Joints, Entry Way Steps, Precast Concrete Panel Joints, Copings, Risers and Tilt-Wall Joints, Bunker Silos, Septic Tanks and Manure Pits. SEALING PROPERTIES • CS-1500 is a moisture curing, elastomeric sealant • Exhibits flexible, resilient rubber that adheres to a wide variety of substrates • Joints designed to accommodate 50% total joint movement will not affect the seal or adhesive bond of CS-1500. • CS-1500 will extend and compress a total of 50% of the installation width. • Unaffected by water contact during or after cure on non-porous substrates • Tack free skin is formed in 2 to 4 hours (@ 75°F / 23°C) • Full cure takes place in 24 to 48 hours • Exhibits excellent weatherability when exposed to ultraviolet radiation, rain, infrared radiation, atmospheric hydrocarbons. • CS-1500 can be painted with emulsion or synthetic enamel paints. • Available in 10.3 ounce cartridges; Five gallon pails. • Shelf Life: 12 months when stored at temperature not exceeding 80°F • Color: Gray CS-1500 may be factory or field applied to seal various construction components. No primer is required except on masonry subjected to continuous immersion. Some substrate surfaces may required special cleaning or treatment for optimum performance. Tooling techniques using solvents or soapy solutions are not recommended. INSTALLATION Concrete and masonry surfaces must be free of foreign matter and contaminants. Dust and loose particles should be blown out of joints. A clean, dry, sound and uncontaminated surface is mandatory. Stone surfaces must be cohesively sound, dry and free of contaminants. Granite, limestone, marble and sandstone must be pre-tested for adhesion prior to sealant installation. Mill finish aluminum may contain an invisible oil film or oxide. Clean with a good degreasing solvent like xylene, toluene or commercial isopropyl alcohol. The use of these solvents (or other solvents) may be

hazardous to your health. Use only in well ventilated areas. KEEP AWAY FROM OPEN FLAME. Many high-performance coatings or unusual surface treatments may require abrasion of the surface with steel wool or fine emery paper during preparation. In cases where doubt exists, consult Concrete Sealants for recommendations. JOINT DESIGN Recommended maximum joint width should not exceed 1 1/4” (1.250) (3.175 cm) and the maximum joint depth should not exceed 1/2” (0.500) (12.69 mm). Minimum joint width should not be less than 1/4” (0.250) (6.34 mm). The sealant depth should be 1/4” (6.34 mm) for joints 1/4” in width. For joints over 1/4” in width, sealant depth should be 1/2 of the joint width but should not exceed 1/2” (0.500) (12.69 mm) in depth. In order to obtain the recommended sealant mass the joint should be filled with Caulk Backer Rod first, leaving a depth to be filled with sealant. CS-1500 will accommodate up to 50% total joint movement. Desirable backer-rod materials are polyethylene or polyurethane non-gassing foamed rod. Do not puncture the closed cell structure of closed cell polyethylene rod as bubbles could form and migrate to the surface of the curing sealant. The use of open cell backer rod material minimizes this condition. ConSeal CS-1800 Solvent Free Waterproofing Membrane

APPLICATIONS

ConSeal CS-1800 Waterproofing Membrane is a cold-applied single component, waterproofing compound that cures by exposure to atmospheric and substrate moisture to form a continuous, tough, reinforced elastic waterproof seal. In above grade applications, use CS-1800 to seal parapets, plaza decks, green roof systems and water proof planter boxes. ConSeal CS-1800 is also a versatile general roofing repair product that can even be used to line and waterproof gutters and a horizontal joint sealer. In below grade applications, CS-1800 is ideal as a positive-side waterproofing for sealing foundations. It can also be used in between-slab waterproofing, equipment wells, and other underground construction. ConSeal CS-1800 is solvent free and compliant with all known environmental and OSHA requirements. It can be used in confined spaces without respiratory protection. CS-1800 forms an elastomeric rubber that is resistant to thermal shock. It will not crack in extreme cold or slump due to softening at high temperatures like conventional asphalt or coal tar based coating often will.
