The atmosphere of the play was mysterious and it made you curious about what was going to hap- pen next. The set was well thought out and imaginative. I was lucky to win tickets to see Jason and the Argonauts, a play at Whitley Bay Playhouse. The atmosphere of the play was mysterious and it made you curious about what was going to hap-pen next. The Junior Apprentices third task was to come up with a school Wake and Shake. The apprentices had to decide the music, dance moves and the location that they filmed their video.

Last years group that got fired chose to film it in the library. The reason of this was because it was to dark and you could-n’t see anything. Their team name was To Infinity and Beyond. Also the winner of last years wake and shake was a team called Pick and Mix. They did theirs outside.

This years Winners were the group called The

Superstars. Their Wake and Shake was to I don’t care. Mrs Milburn gave the Superstars a 9 out of 10. The groups that were fired were Chocolate Toffee, Mew 2, Haribows and Piggy

Wiggies.

Anyone thinking of going on the year 4 trip to Robinwood are in for a real treat! No one can prepare you for the action packed, thrill seeking time that you are going to have there. As current year 4, we ven-tured to Alston back in late September and had the time of our lives.

These are just a few of the activities that we got up to.

The Piranha Pool

You are given a piranha t-shirt, with a special repellent sprayed on, for going in the piranha pool. Get ready to be terrified! You have to complete it in about 45minutes. You need to work as a team in order to solve challenges and answer questions to be able to unlock lots of padlocks and gain crystals. Its not as easy as you think and you need to remain level headed, despite the piranha invested water beneath you!

Caving

In caving you had to wear a head torch on your helmet. It was good fun and you got to learn about caves too. You had to find your way out of the maze and play lots of fantastic games.

Climbing

On the climbing wall you were dressed in a harness so you wouldn’t fall off. Everything is so safe at Robinwood. One of the group climbed while the others kept you safe by pulling down on a rope. These were known as a belay team. We also did bouldering along the wall and did a ninja pose too. It was so much fun.

Dragon Quest

This was a fort built to house 6 activities. Half the team were allowed to enter a locked area to solve a puzzle. We had to rely on the rest of the team out-side to help us as they had information that would be able to help us. After completing the 6 quests, we were given a code to get us into a special area where we were able to slay the dragon and save Robinwood!

If you have the opportu-nity to go to Robinwood, we would highly recom-mend it. You are on the go from morning till night.

Even if you are feeling a bit worried about an activity, you are encour-

aged just to do your best.

As you may know, a slide has been fitted in Marine Park’s playground. Every-body was excited to have a go! In addition, we also received a climbing slope beside the slide. The slide is big enough for two people and the slides grand

opening was on Tuesday the 21st of January 2014. The School Councillors all got a turn on the slide to officially open it. When the ribbon was cut it meant

that the slide and the climbing slope were both open for everybody to start using! Mr Harrison took my class down for a try out it was awesome. He

tried the slide too, but he wasn’t very fast!

There are certain times that children are allowed to go on the slide and climbing

frame. When the slide has posts around it, you can’t go on it, because it might be

too wet. |However, when the posts aren’t there you can slide on the slide and climb

up the climbing frame. To find out when your turn is, look at the notices around the doors. We are so lucky to have such great things to play on at

Marine Park First School.

“My biggest achievement to date would be becoming a head teacher in a big, fantastic first school in Whitley Bay!”

Frozen is the new Disney movie. It is about Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Little snowman Olaf will make you laugh too! I would probably give the movie 9 out of 10. I went to see the film with Lauren back in November. Frozen has been voted the best Disney movie in over 20 years and personally I agree with that. I was wondering whether it would be good or not whilst I waited in my cinema chair. It turned out that I didn’t even need to worry because it was one of the best movies I have ever seen! If you get to watch it you will learn just how good it is!

What will happen when Elsa freezes everything? If Anna gets frozen in the head she will be ok but if she gets frozen in the heart will she be ok? Will Sven the moose save Anna? By accident Elsa freezes her whole town and the mayor is not happy. What will happen when she finds out what she has done and gets tangled up in her own mess? Find out at the cinema or when Frozen comes out on DVD and Blue Ray.
