DESCRIPTION

How is EPBD Achieved? Software used to produce EPC  Use SAP programs for domestic dwellings and student flats – (each self contained flat needs it’s own certificate based on SAP, and the whole building and common areas need a certificate based on SBEM.)  Use SBEM for all other University buildings above 1000m2 or rented, or when they are sold.  For either program, need full details of building envelope (room size, wall type and size, window type and size, lighting, plus full HVAC details). Data collection is the most difficult part. Data entry into program may take up to 5 man days per building.
