Data is everywhere; transactional data, big data, cloud data, decentralised data, governed data. With the ever-growing demand to analyse data, the need for an automated software solution to present this data for interactivity and decision-making is in ever-increasing demand.

Information is an historic view of what happened; it becomes "Intelligence" when it is coupled with business knowledge. Cap Gemini recently completed a report* that states 61% of respondents to their survey “acknowledge that big data is now a driver of revenues in its own right and is becoming as valuable to their businesses as their existing products and services.” Data is becoming more valuable to organisations, but is combined with the challenge of how to access it and analyse the most relevant data to drive informed decision making.

CashInsight Inform collects data from connected devices and this is then stored in a database at a centralised location. The required reports are defined in a web browser, using several variable parameters, and the resulting information presented in an intuitive graphical report for further analysis. With the ability to be deployed within one site, or across an entire network, CashInsight Inform is scalable to meet almost any customer requirement.

Flexible reporting options to suit varying business needs

Building on an enterprise-wide database, CashInsight Inform offers a wide range of reports that users can tailor to the needs of their organisation. Data can be presented at a high-level enterprise-wide view or, a detailed site or even by device level view. The reporting tool delivers 2 types of reports:

• Aggregation Reports – whereby the report can show items such as device, location or denominations

• Trend Reports – shows the same data but over a selectable period of time.

The data shown in all reports can be represented by volume or value of the banknote totals. All data can be interrogated and further manipulated by exporting it to standard reporting tools such as Excel, or can be embedded into business reports via the export function. In addition, CashInsight Inform reports are represented in both tabular and graphical formats.

CashInsight Inform is a software application that provides statistical analysis of data provided by Glory banknote counters/sorters. CashInsight Inform can gather a range data from all connected devices, store the information and then analyse this through its comprehensive and flexible reporting tool.

Optimise the value of data through CashInsight Inform

There are six base reports in the solution

Amount by Location – Showing the number and value of banknotes by location

Amount by Device – The volume of value of banknotes per machine

Amount by Denomination – The volume or value of banknotes per denomination

Category – The volume, value or yield of notes per category (eg: fit/unit)

Process Trend – Shows the variation of banknotes per process (eg: deposit, withdrawal, count, sort)

Reject Trend – Shows the variation of banknote reject rates as a percentage

Flexible deployment models

CashInsight Inform components

CashInsight Inform can be utilised in a variety of deployment models to meet varying operational requirements whilst minimising IT impact on an organisation. The solution can be deployed at branch, regional, or enterprise level and connections can be achieved through LAN or RS232.

Enterprise Deployment Solution (see diagram)

Enterprise deployment of CashInsight Inform is the most commonly requested deployment model as it minimises the number of software components that are installed across the network. All CashInsight Inform components are located within the Central Servers of the organisation. The Inform Console user application can be viewed on any web browser within the organisation (depending on the number of user licences purchased).

Alternative Deployment Solutions

The CashInsight Inform solution provides the flexibility for the different components to be deployed in different locations within an organisation, thus providing a range of different deployment models to suit varying business requirements. It is also possible to locate the components on a workstation connected to a device or within a Branch / Regional Server.

Device Manager*

Connects each device either at a branch level or located in the Head Office environment

Data Importer

An application that imports device Business Log data from the data repository into an SQL database which the Console uses to generate reports

Gateway*

Co-located with the Device Manager, the Gateway collates the information from multiple service managers

CashInsight Inform is easy and intuitive to use and ensures operators can access the data they need when and where they need it. Reports are generated within a few selections of filters and options and therefore allowing the user to tailor each report to their exact requirements.

In addition, CashInsight Inform allows the user to save all the filter settings within the browser and these settings can be passed from one report to another, eliminating unnecessary and frustrating “double keying” of information.
