Deckbuilders were tasked with completing the design, supply and installation of replacement timber terrace deck and a roof terrace deck with handrails and access steps between the decks. These beautiful decks have provided the perfect location for enjoying the riverside views while enjoying the delights from the restaurant. CASE STUDY: The Bridge LOCATION: Bidford on Avon COMPLETED: 2017 The Bridge restaurant is situated in an idyllic setting on the banks of the River Avon in the heart of Shakespeare country. © Deckbuilders (UK) Ltd TIMBER SPECIFICATION North European Redwood was used throughout the project pressure treated to Deckbuilders standard specification of Tanalith E to Hazard Class 4. Walkway areas benefitting from deck boards incorporating anti slip aggregate inserts to aid with grip. DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS Careful removal of the existing decks was required and a thorough inspection of the existing roof area; to ensure no leaks when the new decks installed. Cleverly designed steps designed into the tight space to allow access between the two levels. Glass handrails incorporated to make the most of the fantastic riverside views.
