KDU College Penangs School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (SHTCA)KDU offers a one-of-its-kind campus experience that helps unleash the true potential of its students through practical simulations, outcome-based learning and experimental learning initiatives.The Award-Winning Culinary Arts School boasts the Best Culinary Arts Facilities such as a Holiday Inn Hospitality Training Suite, a fine dining restaurant, six Professional 5-star commercial kitchens including a Carme (Patisserie), and a Escoffier (Butchery) demo kitchens which is also the only training kitchen in the northern region specializing in art of Butchery.The study of this building will aid in designing my thesis: ""Gastronomic & Culinary Centre", a centre that will take both visitors and professional chefs on a journey through the art of food and educate them in the creative process of cooking. It will include spaces catered for Academic, Commercial and Production purposes. It will explore inventive architecture in designing the Experential Dining areas as well as a Cooled Conservatory, a structure that will replicate a cool climate to grow non-local crops to be used for lessons and the restaurants.
