As a busy, 105-room hotel, the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Laredo, Texas can’t afford to have its communications network go down. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened in late October 2016. When Homewood Suites’ aged PBX crashed unexpectedly on October 24th, management knew they needed to take action immediately in order to get things back up and running for both the hotel staff and their guests.

Jim Wonsey, Director of IT Services for BRE Select, was quickly contacted for help in dealing with the urgent situation. Being familiar with the property’s needs and the advanced technology offered by Phonesuite, Jim suggested that Homewood Suites upgrade to a Managed VOICE Cloud Communication platform, by Phonesuite. This would help the hotel in the following key areas:

Jim Wonsey promptly reached out to Phonesuite with a distress email requesting immediate help in restoring hotel communications for Homewood Suites. While a technician was able to arrive on-site that same day and restore phones to minimal operating levels, the ultimate goal was to integrate a new, VoIP phone system, quickly and efficient-ly. The new, primary system was configured, and then up and running at 100% capacity by October 28th. From start to finish, the entire process was handled smoothly and without any hassle.
