Brenda leaves home to walk to the Safeway grocery store located 5 blocks away from her home. It is unknown if she made it to the store.

At 5:50 am Brenda’s body is found on a grassy shoulder alongside John Hanson Highway (US Route 50) in Cheverly, near the Baltimore Washington Parkway in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Nenomoshia leaves home to walk to the Safeway store on Benning Road. She makes it to the store and buys the items, but it’s believed she is abducted as she leaves the store, as some of the items she bought were found strewn across the ground outside the store.

After eating, Brenda and her friend catch a nearby bus. Brenda gets off the bus at 8th and H Street Northeast to then catch another bus to get home. She is last seen waiting for a bus at this stop.

Diane left home in the evening to visit her boyfriend who then walked her to the bus stop, so she could head home once their visit was over. Diane boarded the bus around 11:21 pm.

Date: 5 September 1972 Location: Martin Luther King Avenue & South Capitol Street (bus stop)

Bus driver believes Diane got off the bus on Martin Luther King Avenue and South Capitol Street, where she only had to walk a short distance home. However, Diane didn’t make it home.

Diane’s body is found on a grassy incline just south of the district line by a truck driver who stopped to check his vehicle.
