See us in Pittsburgh!
We are proud to be a new sponsor for the Pitts-burgh Knit and Crochet Festival, held at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North on February 13 and 14. We will be unveiling a new hat pattern by Lorna Miser that was designed for the festival
and the first 300 attendees each day will get a free copy of the pattern and 2 skeins of Cascade 220 to knit up the hat. Melissa Leapman will be teaching all weekend as well as a variety of other talented teachers. There will be more than 50 booths and the market will be open from 9 am to 4 pm both
days.
The Festival was initially a fundraiser initiated by Barb Grossman, Festival
organizer and the wife of former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Randy Grossman, for the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh, Randy Grossman will be at the Cascade booth both days at 1 pm to autograph the hat pattern (or what-ever else is handy) and will be wearing one of this Superbowl rings for photo
ops. Warm Up America, which donates blankets to shelters, will be sup-ported with a Warm Up America room where festival participants can knit or crochet on charity blankets. There will be a fashion show and luncheon on
Sunday benefiting Casting for Recovery (Breast Cancer Awareness).
See us in Santa Clara!
Stitches West will be coming to the Santa Clara Convention Cen-
ter on February 25 – 28. Once again, Cascade Yarns is a sponsor of
the event and will have an informational booth (206) where you
can stop and check out some of our yarns and models. We will
have several yarns that you can test knit as well as a list of where
you can find our yarns throughout the market. Bring by your pro-
jects that you have made with any of our yarns – we would love to
take your picture and will be putting our favorites on the blog.
