Designer of the Season

o enter Cary Vogel’s world is to be immersed in the color pallet of

grace and style. It’s like adorn-ing a favorite robe, warm and safe, a wrapping of comfort and easy conversation. It is the visu-al completion of listening, caring, acquired knowledge and the artis-tic creation of a world that is both elegant and calm.

“My mission is to interpret my client’s unique vision, creating comfortable, intimate and time-less spaces to truly enjoy living

in.” Everything and everyone in Cary’s world has a story and his passion is to bring the client’s dreams and visions to life within their homes. Whereas many de-signers want to throw everything out with a “start fresh” mentality, Cary understands that collected treasures are treasured memories and to incorporate old and new together is to be surrounded in comfortable love.

Much like a composer builds a symphonic masterpiece instru-ment by instrument; Cary creates

vibrancy through color, texture and shape. Each layer added and placed to enhance and build upon the last layer until the room dy-namics are none other than sheer perfection. Included within the quest are sound, space, solitude, warmth and light. Each element no more important than the last, each element included for the pure visual and sensual pleasure of the client.

To create one masterpiece in a lifetime is more than many of us could wish for, but to create a lifetime of masterpieces one after the other, is a tribute to the in-spiration of life itself and a deep respect for the medium of design. Cary Vogel has indeed been in-spired by travel, art, color and his-tory. His absolute dedication to creating the visual splendor that is the dream of each client puts him in the top echelon of designers with distinction.

Simply reading the stellar tes-timonials written by cherished cli-ents is a journey through the cal-iber of kindness and warmth that both Cary and his partner Lance Robins exude within each proj-ect they embrace. Their commit-ment to the health and well-being of each client includes a cheerful kindness in the midst of artistic chaos. So much so, that by the time the home has been com-pletely designed and installed, most clients consider these lovely men “Family.” Many, it seems, ac-tually buy houses just so Cary can

T

do the design work and create the next “cozy.”

Design does not come with-out intricacies and as a team; Cary and Lance make challenges in global exploration and acquisi-tion appear effortless. The mutual respect they have for each oth-er comes through a 30 year long understanding of strengths and boundaries. They believe in the importance of the work and find true pleasure as every new expe-dition creates the next world. It is fortunate that the creative Cary can completely rely upon Lance for everything technical (paper-work wise… that is) and Lance can rely upon Cary to mainstream the next fantastic plan.

Cary has the unique ability of finding ways to display and en-hance the visual reality that has become life. Whether it is a fab-ric wall backdrop to a favorite ar-moire or the application of a faux painting to hide electrical plates, each room has the touch of fin-ished perfection. There are many who hold off building their dream home until Cary can help with the interior design. A commitment he holds with deepest reverence as he plans time and space in his cal-endar to accomplish and exceed his client’s wishes and desires.

The 2017 PANTONE Color of the Year is “Greenery”

Color of the Yearach year, PANTONE Color Institute™ establishes a color of the year. What is the PANTONE Color of the Year? A symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and attitude.

EThe 2017 PANTONE Color of the Year is “Greenery”

Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.

Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world. This shift is reflected by the proliferation of all things expressive of Greenery in daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices globally. A constant on the periphery, Greenery is now being pulled to the forefront - it is an omnipresent hue around the world.

A life-affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.

2015 Inaugural Event

DIFFA Picnic by Designnteriors by Cary Vogel was proud to be selected to be on the inaugural steering

committee for the 2015 Las Vegas Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA) Picnic by Design. We were responsible for helping create an annual event in which the Las Vegas design community was invited to create themed picnic basket displays to be auctioned off

and then utilized in a community picnic. It’s a celebration that highlights design, food and fun for a worthy cause. Picnic by Design brings together designers, manufacturers and artists whose work is enjoyed, celebrated and bid on by DIFFA supporters. Funds raised support DIFFA’s grant making efforts to help nonprofit organizations across the country combatting HIV/AIDS, with a

portion of the proceeds also benefitting The Center Las Vegas.

We were thrilled to have procured the most funds ever raised, in any city, for an inaugural DIFFA Picnic by Design event. In 2016, the second annual Las Vegas DIFFA Picnic by Design event exceeded our goals and raised over $82,000 with over 350 guests in attendance.
