By honoring a donor’s wish or supporting a family’s decision to donate we can offer them HOPE.

Donor families are supported by our Aftercare Program. Donors are honored through the Aftercare Program.

Support continues as needed

• Grief support through phone calls or by providing resources

• Updates on organ recipients or tissue disposition

• Correspondence - donor families and recipients

• 20% organ families receive letters

• <5% for tissue families – increasing with help from tissue processors

• Facilitate meetings between donor families and recipients

• Since 1993, NEOB has facilitated over 500 donor family/recipient contacts or meetings
