It has been an exciting
week as our old fence is
slowly being removed.
Many students have
enjoyed seeing our fencers
Greg and Jack working on
the Kanga, trimming trees
and removing the old posts
up and down the fence line
on Research Station Drive.
Our students (and staff)
have adapted well to the
changes in our playground.
We’ll keep you informed of
the progress with a
tentative completion date
of Day 1 Term 3.
For the first time in history
(well as long as we can
remember), the Carenne
Bocce Team defeated
Dubbo Delroy Campus in a
nail-biting final of the
R e g i o n a l B o c c e
Championships held in
Orange this week. The
triumphant Carenne team
will now head to Sydney
f o r t h e S t a t e
Championship. Mr Neal,
Mrs Matheson and Ms
Jones were very impressed
by the outstanding
sportsmanship displayed by
all students towards their
opponents. Well done
Carenne!
The new fence is taking shape!
We are the Champions!

Work Experience
Work experience is well
underway for the term with
most of our senior students
participating in either in-
school work placement or
with some of our local
businesses. Our “outdoor
crew” have been busy
relocating plants from the
front garden in preparation
for the new fence.
Mr Ryan and Mr Phillips had
the boys all working hard
moving the agapanthus and
they certainly look good in
their new home along the
driveway.
Physical Activity
As part of the NSW
curriculum all students are
involved in daily physical
activities. At Carenne this
includes combined sport,
PE lessons, daily walking,
bike riding, access to the
gym and therapy programs
to name a few. Our
students engage in 150
minutes of planned
physical activity every
week. As the weather
becomes colder we
encourage all students to
bring a jacket, beanie and
gloves to keep warm!
I will be taking Long
Service Leave from
Tuesday 19th June. Mrs
Dwyer will be relieving for
me while I am away. Enjoy
the last couple of weeks of
term and have a great
holiday. See you all next
term. Jane
