Join the Earth Treks team in Rockville, MD as one of our yoga instructors! Earth Treks is seeking qualified yoga instructors to teach regularly scheduled classes as well as substitute instructors for classes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Yoga Instructors will include:
• teaching yoga classes with a focus of improving fitness, increasing flexibility, and improving an overall sense of well-being.
• teaching a safe, professional class that helps ET members remain motivated and excited to reach their climbing and fitness goals.
• providing excellent customer service with observation and feedback of corrective measures and proper breathing techniques.
• offering alternative movements/positions during class to accommodate different levels of fitness and abilities.
• teaching assigned classes on time and working in partnership with other instructors in covering classes with an ET approved substitute if absent.
• preparing the yoga room both before and after classes and returning all props to their proper location.
Qualifications:
• Registered Yoga Teacher 200 (RYT) from a nationally recognized organization
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience
• Responsible and dependable
• Current state approved CPR and First Aid certifications
