• Domains of change – you cannot achieve gender equitable and sustainable food and nutrition security unless you address the underlying causes of poverty and inequality and build just (equitable, fair) systems for managing opportunity, risk and uncertainty
Technical pillars for a comprehensive approach

An integrated approach – The technical pillars
• The technical pillars do address the key components to build livelihoods and protect and provide food and nutrition security for the most vulnerable
• The technical pillars do not articulate fundamentals about CARE’s approaches – program approach, analysis, advocacy, women’s empowerment and gender transformation
• Therefore, we will contextualize the CI FNS strategy with a program framework

Positioning CARE in FNS
• How do we communicate and represent the strategy across the organization? How do we engage with teams in CI member offices?
• How is the strategy relevant to developing long-term programs? In what ways can it be operationalized?
• How do we build our profile and use this to lever new partnerships?
• How is CARE a good investment for allies, partners and donors?

• How can we be effective in supporting country office portfolios for long term programs in FNS?(design, implementation, partnerships, resources and impact measurement)

Terms of Reference: • Guidance and oversight of the strategy• Develop a program framework • Guidance to RMU & CO on long-range FNS programs • Leading the socialization of the strategy• Identify resource mobilization opportunities• Create and sustain synergies with CI initiatives• Monitor and evaluate progress of the strategy
