Abstract:

We believe in the objective energy of the blockchain.

Unfortunately, people began to use smart contracts to gamble and use digital

money to brainwash, challenging all the evils of human nature.

Blockchain do not generate wealth directly, and the essence of playing games is not

to make money.

So what does the blockchain game bring and how do you find high-quality projects

and a good team to work with?

This white paper will focus on our view of blockchain game, gameplay and

framework, the usage of assets.

CardMaker is an interesting indie game that was first created at the CGJ Indie Game

Development Competition in early July 2018 and won double awards at the first

NEO Blockchain Game Development Competition on August 31, 2018.

CardMaker is a game of design, starting with play, allowing players to quickly

understand the game and then create content. The game has classic card strategy

and Roguelike gameplay, which makes you a game designer and allows you to

actualize your game ideas.

As an innovation, CardMaker has a complete, sophisticated, and proven system of

token economy that will become more exciting as time and content evolve

randomly.

Today, CardMaker is a stable project that has been in the works for months, and you

can see that we make it more fun because we love the game; Therefore, the reliable

team has attracted more and more partners, including but not limited to NEO and

COCOS, etc. If you are curious that we suddenly enter your vision or become

unknown, don't worry, it is because we are not good at advertising and packaging

ourselves, so we are also working hard on this.

Part1, Game

What is CardMaker?

Indie Games:

Games with gameplay, depth of content, and classic and cute pixel style. What’s

more, games have to be games first.

Such as Hearth Stone which has classic card strategy, but gameplay is more concise

which far beyond Slay the Spire, Night of Full Moon and other excellent works.

The Roguelike story line makes the exploration process is no longer boring.

We try to bring the fun of game to our players, not just make them raise animals or

auction lands.

Finance Attribute:

Token economy system design around NFT assets. In general, almost all games

have an economy system.

There are 4 major mining machine systems in the game: card, role, module, and

workshop.

NFT FP(Fight Power) as game-related attribute which can be used in battle and

exploration; MP(Mana Power) as finance attribute which can be used in mining and

dividends. As a card, it can be used for battles or mining. The higher FP and MP, the

more resources can be obtained to strengthen the game ability or financial effect.

For the former human beings, today's science and technology has been an

unimaginable legend, which can be called as "witchcraft", "magic" and other words.

Similarly, when the human technology progress leaps, for people at present, that

will also be magical existence.

When the productivity of the blockchain and virtual reality technology is gradually

becoming less, we will truly embrace the magic world.

to play, imagine, design and maintain everything that is eternal.

Game Structure:

Card:

Card, as the basis of NFT asset in CardMaker , raises the price by storing various FT,

and raises the value by using in Maker system. With blockchain technology, Cards

will become your permanent assets.

We also welcome more DAPP developers to connect with the Maker system,

creating NFT asset reuse and premium.

Role:

As the main form of the card, it is the most important part in CardMaker. In addition

to the limited characters, some characters can be obtained through the basic

contents of the game, and others will be created by users. The players can even

design a complete set of role systems.

Event:

Event is the place where card and other basic NFT deducts. The design of event will

create a wide, deep and interesting exploration and challenge for the combined use

of cards and other assets. All events will be created by the development team,

cooperated parties, and players, which will also create user-versus-user combat.

Mod:

Mod will be built on levels to enrich the stage experiences, and is an indispensable

part to a diverse community. Players with creativity will become the leader in Mod

design.

As a developer of indie games, we believe that having a great story is the supreme

experience for any game product. We hope that game designers will not forget to

add richer and deeper stories to the stage of your creations. Players can even pass

on stories from some classic novels, film and artworks, even other game narratives

to CardMaker, and pass on them to the stage of your design. At the same time, the

community will provide corresponding incentive rewards for these designers.

Any story can be an interesting puzzle or a touching novel. It's for us and for others.

design more interesting beyond the team.

Cross-blockchain Trade:

CardMaker starts in the form of multiple towns, extending from the original Cake

Town to the upcoming Nature Town. The data between each town is independent,

but trade is interconnected, and the token is unified. All towns will have unique

resources and production, thus creating trade demands for other towns, forming

multilateral trade relations and simulating the world economy.

Part2, NFT Asset Deduction

CardMaker is more than just a game. It broadly defines the concepts of Card and

Maker

Card refers to the main NFT asset in the product matrix, and the following criteria

will appear:

Certain value to rely on;

Certain attribute dimensions;

Deduced in high-level application of the asset;

Stored assets can be transferred;

Maker refers to deductive content of assets, which implies creation, production,

iteration of NFT changes, or production from the beginning.

Meaning of the Verifiable Asset

We're used to having everything we get in conventional games go up in smoke at

the end, whether stage cleared, we left, or server stopped, but that's still the

biggest damage to us as players. Since I was young, I had a dream that I can let the

protagonist or hero I played appeared in one game, and had a fight with other

heroes, because I spent a lot of time, money and efforts in this role, even if it is

essentially the data, our emotions can assign will inject vitality!

The existence of blockchain makes this behavior possible. Alsace's story can

continue indefinitely, and roles in RWBY can also appear in various games to fight

against other roles! The story or hero in your heart will never die.

The Value of the NFT Store

Value store is more like a financial activity than data store. Any strengthening,

buying and selling borrowing and lending of the NFT, will inject a certain amount of

virtual assets into the NFT and, after a series of market actions, it can be withdrawn

intact (or with a little handling fee) at the right time.

Staking Game

We know that moving of the conventional game moves from paid to free is a

successful business model that directly allows more people to experience the game

first before deciding whether to pay or not. But today’s blockchain games still stay

in the way of presale or land auction, it lets users first to buy that uncertain virtual

assets, which is against the experience and unsustainable.

The mechanism of Staking Game is that users can obtain certain props and mining

machine resources in the form of mortgaging general token and release the

mortgage after a certain period.

For the period, it can be zero, fixed or dynamic, which depends on the developer.

For the disposal of props mining machine resources after mortgage, it can be

destruction, return or gift, which depends on the developer.

But anyway, it is a friendly mode and does not hurt the principal. Any player can get

his principal back after a certain period, that is, the experience period of the game,

if he finds that the game is not his preference. The use of Staking also solves the

problem of bots.

Therefore, when NFT assets have mainstream FT as the basic value, the direct return

will form a good example, and will no longer face user loss like CryptoKitties.

Asset Deduction

Card, as the NFT asset standard, can be used in various Maker-related systems or

games after injecting the FT asset. For example, you can play a poker game through

Card, a Hearth Stone-like battle, an astrology game, or even clear stage in a variety

of RPG games, forming a more multidimensional NFT application scene.

After a series of assets deduction, Card in addition to the internal storage value, will

be given from different tags under Maker system, such as a card of "Hearth Stone

12 winning", "Siege Experts", "Gwent Master never falled", and "The first clear of

Slay the spire" Card, these tags will give additional deduction value to Card, and will

give the extra premium to asset markets.

The Broad Framework of CardMaker

In a narrow sense, CardMaker is a game of design. The most direct aspect is that

players can participate in the process of design of cards freely.

In a broad sense,Card will serve as the bottom layer of the entire asset architecture

as an independent asset system; The Maker part will build and connect individual

games, with Card assets running through all the Maker systems.

CAKE in CardMaker stands for Card Alchemists Knowledge Energy, nicknamed Little

Cake. The total amount available will only be 5,000,000,000 and it will never be

re-issued.

Multiple endorsement: with the development of CardMaker, it will access to more

blockchains so as to support content structure and user system. When it increases

an endorsement, locked quantity of all original CAKE on the contract will increase,

and the increment is the inverse of the number of original public blockchains - the

inverse of the number of current public blockchains (i.e., If the current public

blockchain is 2, then the total amount of CAKE enjoyed by each user is 5 billion / 2.

Token Logic

CAKE represents the value sharing of this game, which is the most important part of

the token economy. Using the economic principles of the token, the official team

has redesigned the economic model within the game and offers the actual

application scenario for the release of CAKE.

In this token economy model a higher proportion of CAKE will be circulated freely

and spread among users coming from value incentives, user attention rewards to

Appreciation of CAKE depends on two things: content growth and group mixture.

In practice, it would become scarcer because of rapid deflation, and generate

additional bubbles through the rest of the financial activity.

Basic Mine Pool

The CAKE in the pool is used to maintain the user's involvement in CardMaker.

Users can obtain CAKE by finishing through stages, manufacturing mods or

operating workshops, etc. Users can also obtain CAKE by interacting with others.

The additional CAKE tokens will go back to mine pool through card decomposition

and pool destruction. The pool accounts for 25% of the total CAKE. 10% balance of

CAKE in this pool will be released every year, guaranteed by smart contracts. For

example, in the first year, the pool will release 125,000,000 CAKE from

1,250,000,000 CAKE. After recovery (decomposition, destruction of pool and cards)

in the first year, the total CAKE in this pool in the second year will back to

1,200,000,000, then, the next release will be 120,000,000.

UGC Incentive Pool

CAKE in this pool is used to motivate users to create and publish excellent game

content in the magic world. It will be carried out through activities inside and

outside the game and will release 5%~20% of the balance of Pool of basic mine

every year.

Guardian Incentive Pool

Due to the addition of UGC game content and developers, we consider that in the

future we will need the help from experienced community operators to conduct

Risk Control Fund

Since there is no crowd funding tool in CardMaker, there may be insufficient trades

and huge fluctuations in trading prices at the beginning for CAKE in exchange.

Therefore, this part of CAKE exists for market-making, maintaining the stability of

CAKE prices, and the CardMaker Foundation must periodically announce the

operation of this part of CAKE.

Promotion Pool

The CAKE in this pool is used to quickly attract and motivate new players and

opinion leaders, improve platform activity, give users better help and guidance, and

support the project in forming an effective network as early as possible. It will also

be used for promotional methods such as media promotions and community

marketing. The usage of token in this pool should be transparent as far as

possible.

CardMaker Foundation

The CardMaker Foundation will hold a certain amount of CAKE to guarantee proper

committed to building a reliable ecosystem associated with CardMaker or CAKE.

Team Incentive Pool

Finally, CAKE which accounts for 5% of the total, will be given to the start-up team.

The start-up team is not only the developer but who have spent more initial

construction on the entire game. This part of the cake will continue to be unlocked

to ensure that follow-up teams will have continuous incentives. The pool will be

unlocked 5% after game release, and 5% of the remaining amount will be unlocked

every six months.

Team Motivation

Since the CAKE in start-up team are enough to maintain our daily operations, we

are willing to come up with a part CAKE of incentive pool to encourage and attract

more core developers to join our team.

Developer Incentive Plan

Later on the open game environment gradually will attract other developers to

come in and expand the content of CardMaker. We will announce some of the

developer incentive programs to help them get feedback and also provide some

basic development tools.
