Canyoneering The sport of Canyoneering stretches back more than 12,000 years in the plains of Southern Utah. The ancient tribes who inhabited this landscape would navigate the slot canyons of Zion to gather plants and berries while hunting Wooly Mammoths, Giant Sloths, and Camels. Southern Utah is internationally recognized for its green, lush canyons tightly enclosed by towering, red sandstone walls.

Zion Ponderosa offers our adventurers the unique opportunity to explore these canyons by climbing, bouldering, rappelling, and swimming. But don’t let this description scare you! Though this activity is high-adventure, you will be under the supervision of our seasoned guides who will ensure that the experience is both safe and enjoyable for all.

ANGELS LANDING CANYON OVERLOOK

Observation Point This 6-mile trip shows you a panoramic view of Zion Canyon unlike any other. This top-down view from Observation Point is unique to Zion Ponderosa, making it one of the most secluded places in Zion.

Sunset Hike Canyon Overlook Trail offers some of the most breathtaking views that Zion has to offer. Have some ice cream and watch the sun dip below the red rocks. This hike is one mile, round-trip. Difficulty: Easy Duration: 2.5 Hours Price: $60 Adult $48 Child

Climb up a 50-foot wall, rock by rock. This is a great way to build strength and endurance. Compete against others or yourself.
