As it is the end of the school year, the report will summarise the achievements of your child throughout the whole school year. You will find some information that refers to subjects and contents taught in Semester One. This information, generally in SoSE and Science, will be unchanged from the mid-year report, unless further assessment has taken place in Semester Two. Northern Territory Band Levels are developmental and students are expected to take 18 months to move through a level. The expected levels on the reports are aimed at the end of a school year. It has been a busy week with presentation assemblies, graduation celebrations and Christmas Concerts. On Monday night we had a fabulous Christmas Concert where we were all entertained by the students from the primary school. On Tuesday night I was fortunate enough to attend the Nhulunbuy High School end of year presentation evening. I was very impressed with the way the students spoke on the night and the musical interludes were a highlight. On Wednesday night our Grade 6 students celebrated their final year of primary school with a graduation ceremony. The celebration was organised by Ms Kate Phillips who did an amazing job with her team of helpers. Ms Fremmer and I attended the Pre School Christmas Concert this morning. There was a great turn out of parents and the children performed brilliantly. A big thank you to Mrs. Tracy Groom and her team at the Preschool. We are fare welling a few staff this year and so I would like to acknowledge those who are leaving for the dedication and commitment they have demonstrated while working at our school. Issue 10

15 December 2011

Parents and families, Reports will go home on Friday. As it is the end of the school year, the report will summarise the achievements of your child throughout the whole school year. You will find some information that

refers to subjects and contents taught in Semester One. This information, generally in SoSE and

Science, will be unchanged from the mid-year report, unless further assessment has taken place in

Semester Two. Northern Territory Band Levels are developmental and students are expected to take 18

months to move through a level. The expected levels on the reports are aimed at the end of a school

year.

It has been a busy week with presentation assemblies, graduation celebrations and Christmas

Concerts.

On Monday night we had a fabulous Christmas Concert where we were all entertained by the students

from the primary school. On Tuesday night I was fortunate enough to attend the Nhulunbuy High

School end of year presentation evening. I was very impressed with the way the students spoke on the

night and the musical interludes were a highlight.

On Wednesday night our Grade 6 students celebrated their final year of primary school with a

graduation ceremony. The celebration was organised by Ms Kate Phillips who did an amazing job with

her team of helpers.

Ms Fremmer and I attended the Pre School Christmas Concert this morning. There was a great turn out

of parents and the children performed brilliantly. A big thank you to Mrs. Tracy Groom and her team at

the Preschool.

We are fare welling a few staff this year and so I would like to acknowledge those who are leaving for

the dedication and commitment they have demonstrated while working at our school. Those leaving our

school are; Ms Alessa Fremmer, Ms Olivia Hartwig, Ms Jenni Webber, Mrs. Julie Horn, Ms Amie Kin-

nane, Mrs. Ahna Hawkett, Mrs. Kym Rowbotham, Mrs. Melissa Mills and Mrs. Chantelle Jamieson.

I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. School starts back for students on

Tuesday the 31st of January 2012. I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

OUT AND ABOUT THIS WEEK.OUT AND ABOUT THIS WEEK.OUT AND ABOUT THIS WEEK.OUT AND ABOUT THIS WEEK. Between the year 6 Graduation and the Christmas Concert, NPS guys and gals have put on the glitz and bling for end of year fun, fun, fun. Posing, playing and parading all part of the act.

Preschool Concert was a great success and it was fabulous to see so many

parents join in and watch the students have such a fun time.
