In 2019 we pay special honour to the 75th Anniversary of D-Day - Canada’s coming ashore on Juno Beach and the Liberation of Normandy. Official events are expected to include remembrance ceremonies at Beny-sur-Mer and Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemeteries, along with the Official 75th Anniversary Commemoration at the Juno Beach Centre. Liberation Tours offers two itineraries. Our 8-Day tour is ideal for those who have visited the battlefields previously, taking you direct to Normandy to be on hand for the expected special commemoration events, and concluding with two nights in Paris to wind down and see one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. Our 16-Day tour follows our signature program, the most comprehensive tour of its kind. It is a pilgrimage to the Canadian battlefields of WWI and WWII where Canada came of age as a nation and forged a reputation as the army to be called upon for some of the most difficult and challenging battles. The tour begins in Paris and concludes in Amsterdam. All eyes will be on Normandy in June of 2019 with a special Canadian focus on the sacred shores of Juno Beach. Book early to avoid disappointment and join us for a very special journey and international commemoration anniversary.
