Treatment Final

Scene 1

We start the scene in a large lecture hall on a late Friday afternoon. Here we meet JACK

STONE. He is clearly upset about something but we are still unaware about what it is. The AI

begins to talk about what will be going on next weekend regarding quizzes and lectures. He

continues on to say that if any student has any questions regarding their midterm, email him no

earlier than Sunday night, as he does not want to be bothered by emotional students until they

have had time to calm down about the grades. Jack does not like this rule at all, expressing that

the AI has had it out for him since the beginning and he gave him the grade out of spite. Jack

proceeds to go to the front of the hall after class has been dismissed, to let it the AI have a piece

of his mind. Before he can even get there the AI, ROBERT, already knows and proceed to pack

up his things and head out of the hall, Jack following. Robert doesn’t care about a single thing

Jack says and tell him to email him Sunday about the midterm, and leaves Jack standing in hall

in a rage.

Scene 2

We are back in Jack’s dorm room, and see Jack pacing around the room venting to his less than

interested roommate, Kyle who is lying down on his bottom bunk tossing a ball in the air. Jack

goes on to tell Kyle the whole story and then frustratedly sit down on his bunk with a sigh,

stating his need to go out and get plastered tonight. The boys then begin to discuss this party they

heard about out near the edge of campus at an apartment. They agree to go get some food and

prepare for this party.

Scene 3

Jack, Kyle, their friend TOM and his girlfriend NIKKI are on their way to going to the party.

Their moods are obviously ecstatic as they laugh and joke along the way. They eventually make

it to the party which was well underway, with drunk people stumbling around outside and music

blaring on the inside. Jack give the group a smirk and runs ahead up the stairs to begin his night

of binge drinking. About an hour later we come across Jack who is sitting on the couch,

expressing his love for Kyle, whom he has only known since college, all the while sipping on a

drink. Tom and Nikki had just said goodbye and are heading out the door. As Jack is going on

about this and such things, he catches eyes with none other than his AI Robert, who may just be

as drunk as Jack. Jack becomes very heated at this very moment and runs to confront Robert

about how much he hates him. Robert tells him he had never liked Jack and his pompous attitude

and the two begin to push and shove. Kyle attempts to stand up and separate them but stumbles

and passes out instead. The fight is carried outside and the scene ends with a devastating blow to

Jacks face.

Scene 4

It is morning in the apartment as Kyle wakes up on the floor with Jack nowhere in sight. Kyle

looks around some to see if Jack is amongst the group of people on the floor, but Kyle only finds

Jacks phone on the ground. Kyle becomes generally concerned about the scene he saw last night

before he passed out and starts to head home to the dorms.

Page 4: Campus Homicide

Scene 5

When Kyle gets back to the dorm it is around 2 in the afternoon and Jack is not there. Kyle

becomes extremely worried about the situation, but yet doesn’t overreact. He thinks he’ll go

check out the food court to see if Jack has gone there for a late lunch.

Scene 6

When Kyle gets to the food court he sees Robert eating with a group of friends. Kyle approaches

him and begins to interrogate him about the night before. Robert states he knows nothing about

what Jack did last night, other than he went back to the dorm when the night was through. Kyle

tells him he knows he’s lying also pointing out the split lip and black eye on Roberts face. Once

again, getting angry now, Robert denies knowing anything about what happened to Jack after the

fight. Kyle rushes back to the dorm in a panic as he realizes something bad could have happened

to Jack. He calls Tom on the way to tell him to meet him back in his room.

Scene 7

Back in the dorm room the two boys debate and discuss what happened. Tom states that he left

before the fight broke out and didn’t see anything. This lack of knowing inspires Kyle to stake

out Robert the next time they seem him and see if there’s anything suspicious. They agree not to

call the cops until they know Robert has had a hand in this. The guys know that Robert is also an

RA and head out to watch his every move from here on out.

Scene 8

We now see Kyle and Tom sitting outside of the dorm waiting for Robert to emerge for the

night. They immediately see him come outside of the dorm and open the trunk of his car and toss

some sort of towel or blanket in the back, close it and head back in. About an hour later they

were on the brink of giving up and calling the cops until they saw Robert coming out again

carrying what appeared to be a couple of trash bags and go immediately to the driver seat. He

then gets in the car and drives away. Kyle and Tom run to Toms car and follow Robert from a

distance for about 20 minutes until they arrive at what appears to be an abandoned construction

site.

Scene 9

They get out of the car about a block away, and watch Robert who has pulled into the site a little

further. He goes to the trunk and opens it carefully, looking around, and then pulls out a large

and seemingly heavy mass of blankets and towels. At this very moment the boys run at Robert

and tackle him continue to jump him. After a brief fight that ends with a rock over Roberts head,

the boys disassemble the mass of sheets to find their dead friend. They can’t believe what they

are looking at and proceed to freak out for about 10 minutes, full of emotion and anger. Robert is

kicked a few more times and the police are finally called.

Scene 10

It is a year later, Tom and Kyle are standing over the grave of their deceased friend as a slow

drizzle comes down. Tom pats his arm around Kyle and they turn slowly and walk away.

1 INT. LECTURE HALL - DAY 1

JACK STONE, hand supporting his head, is sitting down two

seats from the middle across the last row of seats in the

room while listening to ROBERT, the AI, who walks from side

to side in the front of the hall, eyes only on his paper,

as he reads instructions.

ROBERT

Listen up!-

ROBERT looks up towards the class and then faces his notes

in his hands once again.

JACK

Here we go again…

(Low voice)

ROBERT

Lecture Monday is not, I repeat, is not

cancelled! Mrs. Mahony will not be here

due to a schedule conflict so I’ll be

taking charge. Quiz next Thursday also-

(Looks up)

JACK raises his right arm in the air, looking directly at

ROBERT who in turn looks directly at JACK and then faces

all the class.

ROBERT

If you have a question about the

midterm, you can put your hands down

now. I’m not dealing with emotional

crisis of dropping the class until

Sunday night, email me then.

JACK faces the girl sitting down to his right and

complaints about ROBERT.

JACK

Page 6: Campus Homicide

Can you believe this douchebag?

Girl nods her head agreeing with JACK

JACK

I mean, the class average was almost

below a C- and he is not gonna tell us

anything? Not even if there will be a

curve or extra credit? I studied my ass

off for that exam!

ROBERT

Class dismissed!

JACK jumps out of his seat and heads down the stairs,

fighting his way amongst the rest of his classmate who are

going up heading towards the exit door, to confront ROBERT

who in turn begins to pack his things up to leave early.

JACK

Hey man, could you at least tell me if

we are gonna have a curve or extra

credit?

ROBERT

Email me on Sunday.

ROBERT begins to walk and head up the stairs; Jack

following right behind him still talking.

JACK

Bro, is not only me here. 100 other

students want to know also. When can I

see my exam?

ROBERT

Email me on Sunday.

ROBERT reaches the exit door and begins to reach the door

knob with his left hand.

JACK

Page 7: Campus Homicide

Dude! Why are you being like this?

Tuesday is the final day for withdrawal

and there will be no time to-

ROBERT turns around, takes a step forward, and stares right

at JACK who in turn steps back.

ROBERT

Well, you should have study harder.

(Angry)

If you have a problem, email me on

Sunday Stone.

(Slowly, with authority)

ROBERT leaves the hall, while JACK stands next to the

closed door, with a remark of frustration.

2 INT. McNUTT DORM ROOM – DAY 2

JACK STONE, pacing in his room, directs conversation to

KYLE who in turn is lying down on his bare mattress at the

bottom bunk throwing a red rubber ball up in the air.

JACK

That transvestite donkey bitch! “Email

me on Sunday” is all he says.

KYLE

Isn’t the last day for withdrawal on

Tuesday?

JACK

Exactly! The class average was below a

C so it’s fucking retarded to wait

until Sunday at night to help people

out-

JACK stops pacing and lets his body fall in the bean bag

across from the bunk.

JACK

Page 8: Campus Homicide

I just need to get hammered tonight.

You down?

(Looks at KYLE lying in bed)

KYLE

I’m always down for beer. We must

respect the Thirsty Thursday’s

tradition.

(Chuckling)

JACK gets up and walks towards his desk. He picks up his

iPhone and begins to search numbers in it.

JACK

Didn’t Tom mention a party coming up

right outside of campus?

KYLE

Yeah, back at lunch. $5 per cup he

said.

The red rubber ball falls to the ground. JACK picks it up

and looks at KYLE who in turn looks at him back.

JACK

He just texted me back. We are getting

plastered tonight.

(Smiling)

3 EXT. 10th ST. – NIGHT 3

JACK STONE, to the outside left of the sidewalk, walks with

KYLE to his right and their friend TOM and his girlfriend

NIKKI far right next to KYLE making a perfect line. JACK

takes out some bills and a couple of quarters from his

right pocket.

JACK

I got only four dollars; does anybody

have an extra buck?

KYLE

Page 9: Campus Homicide

No man, I only carry a five-

TOM

Will you suck my dick for it?

(Smiling)

JACK

Only if they have Coronas Tom-

(Smiling)

NIKKI

Ugh! You guys are such pigs;

(Goes through her purse)

Here you go Jack.

JACK looks at the bill Nikki gave him and acts surprise

JACK

But what about you Nikki?

TOM

My baby enters for free you retard.

(smiling)

The group continues to joke and talk until they reach the

apartment at around midnight.

KYLE

I believe we are here.

A guy is sitting outside with a red plastic cup passing out

on the porch.

JACK

That looks like future me!

(Chuckling)

JACK STONE leads the group by going to the door first and

pays for his cup while the others continue after. JACK

STONE and KYLE are found in a mustard colored couch an hour

later drunk hugging each other.

Page 10: Campus Homicide

JACK

You know Kyle, I love you man…

KYLE

I love you too Jack-

TOM and NIKKI find JACK and KYLE on the couch and come to

say good bye as there are living the party. JACK continues

to talk to KYLE.

JACK

I would so do you if you were a girl-

NIKKI

So awkward…

TOM takes out his phone from his pocket as he is hugging

NIKKI.

TOM

A perfect picture to remember these two

love birds. That’s why I only drink

with you baby.

(Chuckling)

NIKKI and TOM direct their attention to JACK and KYLE who

in turn now realize the presence of their friends.

NIKKI

We are leaving you guys; have a great

night.

KYLE

Thanks, we’ll see you later.

TOM looks directly at JACK and takes out a condom from his

wallet.

TOM

Page 11: Campus Homicide

Here you go Romeo, I’ll let you decide

who does the pitch and catch between

you too.

(Smiling)

JACK gestures the couple goodbye and continues to drink

from his cup; the couple leave the apartment. Kyle is

trying not to pass out as his red plastic cup is beginning

to look empty and signals JACK if he could get some more

beer.

KYLE

I went for beer the last time. It’s

your turn.

JACK

Yeah, yeah…

JACK, standing in front of KYLE with his back against him,

spots ROBERT at the beer pong table shooting the ball.

JACK

That son of bitch… he is here.

KYLE

Who’s here?

JACK walks up to the beer pong table aggressively. He

pushes people to get there faster when ROBERT spots him.

ROBERT

Who invited you to this party Stone?

JACK

You know what you are doing in class is

bullshit-

ROBERT

I’ll do what I want fucker. Now get out

of the apartment; you are not welcome.

JACK

What are you gonna do if I don’t?

Page 12: Campus Homicide

JACK pushes ROBERT to the ground and makes everybody stare

at them. ROBERT gets up and headlocks JACK dragging him out

of the apartment.

KYLE

Wait, Robert… god damn- it…

KYLE drops to the ground past out by all the alcohol he

consumed.

ROBERT

You asked for it!

JACK receives a blow to the left part of the jaw and falls

immediately to the ground. His eyes go black.

4 INT. APARTMENT - DAY 4

The sun beams down on KYLE’s face that in turn is lying

down on the wooden floor, his mouth drooling saliva, as he

regains consciousness from the party of the night before.

KYLE

I’m never drinking again…

(Nauseous)

KYLE stands up grabbing his head and begins to look around

the room for JACK who is nowhere to be found in the

apartment. He decides to go outside and stands in the door

steps when he eyes seem to spot something in the distance.

KYLE

His phone… that’s not good. Robert

probably kicked his ass. He’ll be

happy to see he only lost his

dignity and not his phone.

KYLE begins to walk back to McNutt, still grabbing his

head, and looking at JACK’s missing phone.

Page 13: Campus Homicide

5 INT. McNUTT DORM ROOM – DAY 5

The door swings open from the outside. KYLE with JACK’s

phone on his hand, steps into the room slowly and looks

around; He stands in the middle of the floor.

KYLE

Where could he be…?

(Puzzled)

KYLE looks around the room one more time, puts JACK’s phone

in his jean pocket and heads towards the door way that is

still open.

KYLE

He’s probably at lunch…

(Low voice)

KYLE closes the door more aggressively than when he opened

it at first.

6 INT. GRESHAM FOOD COURT - DAY 6

KYLE enters the room, his eyes searching for JACK on each

table inside the court, and spots ROBERT sitting on the far

left of the front table, his back towards KYLE, but who had

turned to comment about the baseball play presented on the

room’s TV to his male friend sitting to his right. KYLE

walks towards the table directing towards the empty chair

in front of ROBERT and stands in front of it, his hands

grabbing the top part.

KYLE

Excuse me, you must be Robert the AI

from-

ROBERT

I already told you guys to email me on

Sunday night.

KYLE

Oh no, I’m not in your class. I just-

Page 14: Campus Homicide

ROBERT

Then what do you want?

KYLE

Have you seen my friend Jack Stone?

ROBERT

No, I have not seen your friend. Could

you move please, you are blocking

Sports Center.

KYLE begins to notice the bruises on ROBERT’s face

specially the split lip and begins to remember the events

of last night. He becomes more aggressive when he talks and

points to ROBERT’s split lip.

KYLE

You where there last night; Jack went

outside with you- he gave you that fat

lip didn’t-

ROBERT stands up and confronts KYLE

ROBERT

What are you? His mom? Yeah we fought.

So what?

KYLE

You are the last one who saw him, where

is him?

ROBERT

Why the fuck should I know?

ROBERT grabs his head with left hand and sarcastically

poses as if he would be thinking.

ROBERT

Let’s see, He got his ass kicked… he

then walked home.

KYLE

He is not home man.

Page 15: Campus Homicide

ROBERT

That ain’t my problem. Maybe he is in

the hospital getting his nut sack out

of his ass.

ROBERT laughs with his friend and they give each other high

five for the comment. KYLE heads towards the doors at that

moment and leaves the food court. He takes out his cell

phone and calls TOM.

KYLE

Hey man, have you heard from Jack?

(Nervous)

TOM

What? Did things go crazy last night?

What’s the girl’s name? - Or wait; is

he doing a walk of shame?-

KYLE

Come to McNutt as soon as you can. I

think something bad happen to Jack.

7 INT. McNUTT DORM ROOM – DAY 7

TOM, earphones on his ears, sits down on the bean bag as

his eyes goes towards his Ipod while KYLE closes the dorm

room door and drags the chair from his desk making it face

the bean bag.

TOM

Hold up. Let me turn this off before

you start.

TOM reaches for his book bag and puts his Ipod away.

KYLE

I can’t find Jack anywhere man.

Page 16: Campus Homicide

TOM

Where have you looked?

KYLE

Here, and the food court too but-

TOM

Come on man, he could be in class or

somewhere else on campus. Why would you

call me for-

KYLE reaches for his pocket in his hoodie and takes out

JACK’s phone.

KYLE

Here is Jack’s phone.

TOM pauses; he then grabs the phone, inspects it and looks

directly at KYLE.

KYLE

I found it lying on the grass outside

the apartment.

TOM

Maybe he dropped it when going home

with you-

KYLE

Jack got into a fight after you left us

with Nikki. When I woke up he wasn’t-

TOM

Stone fought somebody? Beer does do

miracles…

KYLE

Robert his AI was in the party and

Jack-

Page 17: Campus Homicide

TOM

He fought his AI? That dumbass

(Chuckling)

KYLE

This is serious bro. I think that

Robert guy knows something; he is the

last one I know that saw Jack and when

I spotted him on Gresham he didn’t want

to talk about it.

TOM

Was the son of a bitch hurt?

KYLE

He got a fat lip and bruises in his

face.

TOM

I knew alcohol could do miracles.

(Smiling)

KYLE

Back to the point; Jack told me once

that Robert is an RA in McGea so I say

we go watch him and-

TOM frowns and stands up from the bean bag, looking down on

KYLE.

TOM

Woa,woa,woa, hold it there Batman.

Don’t you think that’s a little too

much?

KYLE

I could call the cops if you want and

have them search this room and your

room, since you are a close friend, and

Page 18: Campus Homicide

find all our booze and the weed you

hide in your mattress and-

TOM

Ok, ok… you win. We’ll go vigilante.

8 EXT. McGEA DORM ROOM - NIGHT 8

KYLE, black hoodie, sits by the baseball field looking at

the back entrance in McGea with TOM next to him crouching

down to the floor.

TOM

This is stupid bro.

KYLE

Jack hasn’t showed up and Robert knows

where he is

TOM

He came out and dropped some gym towels

in his car; big deal. How long are we

gonna be here?

KYLE

As long as it takes-

TOM

To do what? We can’t accuse the man of

anything. Haven’t you watched Law &

Order? Man, it’s a good thing I parked

my car here because if not I would be

here stuck with you forever.

KYLE, serious, looks at TOM who in turn takes out his Ipod.

TOM

Ok, ok, let me know when you see

something suspicious Batman.

An hour passes by.

Page 19: Campus Homicide

TOM

This is stupid man, just call the

police already; I’ll clean out my room.

KYLE

Maybe you are right, nothing is going

on here-

ROBERT comes out of the dorm room lifting large black

garbage bags. He puts them inside the car and turns the

engine on.

KYLE

Tom, Tom… I think-

KYLE notice TOM has fallen sleep next to him on the grass

KYLE

Tom!

TOM

What is it partner? Did you get

anything?

KYLE

ROBERT put some trash bags in his car,

the same place where he put the towels-

There he is now.

KYLE points to Robert for TOM to see

KYLE

He is driving away. Get your car keys

Tom.

TOM

Not how I was planning to use my car.

KYLE and TOM run to TOM’s red sport mustang and follow

ROBERT from a distance for about 20 minutes, heading up to

Martinsville, until they arrive at what appears to be an

abandoned construction site.

Page 20: Campus Homicide

9 EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - NIGHT 9

ROBERT, cautious and alert, steps out of the car and goes

directly to the trunk. KYLE and TOM, inside TOM’s mustang

with the lights off, watch ROBERT who in turn has not

notice their presence a few yards away.

KYLE

I don’t like this Tom.

TOM

No, this is fucked up.

KYLE

What do we do? Should we call the cops?

TOM

If he did something to our bro I’m

gonna-

KYLE

What’s he doing?

KYLE points out to what ROBERT is pulling out of the Trunk.

TOM

We are gonna make him tell us that. Get

out of the car Kyle.

TOM and KYLE step out of the Mustang slowly and crouch in

front of the car.

TOM

On my mark, we tackle him. Ready?

KYLE

Ready

(Nervous)

TOM

Now!

Page 21: Campus Homicide

TOM and KYLE tackle ROBERT to the ground where they begin

to fight. KYLE grabs a rock and strikes ROBERT in the head

leaving him unconscious.

TOM

What the fuck Kyle? We need him to tell

us what he did to Jack!

KYLE

I panicked.

TOM

Fuck!

KYLE

It’s all my fault and I-

(Crying)

TOM

Shut the fuck up! He ain’t dead so

let’s check the car before he wakes up.

KYLE and TOM get to the towels and blanket on the trunk of

the car and find JACK bloody inside.

KYLE

Oh my god! Oh my god!-

(Shocked, nervous)

TOM

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck-

(Angry, nervous)

KYLE

this isn’t happening, Jesus Christ-

(crying)

TOM

He fucking killed him!

(Angry)

Page 22: Campus Homicide

TOM goes towards ROBERT’s body and kicks him a couple of

times very aggressively.

KYLE

What are we gonna do? What are we gonna

do? Oh my god!

TOM

Call the cops Kyle! Before I kill this

son of a bitch myself…

(Extremely angry)

10 EXT. GRAVEYARD - DAY 10

TOM, black shirt and pants, and KYLE, black suit, stand

close to a light gray color grave stone looking down at the

grass in front of them.

KYLE

I can’t believe he is gone…

TOM

Me neither…

TOM puts hand on KYLE left shoulder

TOM

Come on.

TOM gestures KYLE to leave. They leave together.
