• • All campers arrive at camp on one of our campus vehicles. This is for the safety of your camper. Our policy is that no other vehicles enter the campus during camp hours. If you need to drop your camper off, please use the parking lot outside the gate.

• The AM and PM pickup points (PUPs) you chose are in your confirmation email. You may select different pickup points for morning and afternoon as well as on different days. Please give us any pickup point changes in writing (note or email) by 3 p.m. the day the change is needed.

• The departure and arrival times are posted on our website: http://www.campdoublecreek.com/hours.html. Counselors will be available at your PUP at 7:30 a.m. ready to greet and check in your camper(s). It will not be necessary for you to wait until the camp vehicle leaves.

• Please note: Campers must be picked up NO LATER than 5:30 p.m. If you have an unforeseen delay, please call the office at: 512-255-3661 so that we can notify the counselors on-site. We will not leave campers unattended! If you are late we reserve the right to charge your account in the amount of $1 a minute, on the second tardiness.

• Your child will be released only to those whose names and drivers license numbers you have given us. A photo ID (driver’s license or passport) will be checked. If a camper needs to go home with someone other than those listed on the contacts section of your registration form, camp must receive notice in writing (email or note) giving the name and drivers license number of that person.

• Camp vehicles must leave the PUP at the scheduled time (listed on the website at: http://www.campdoublecreek.com/hours.html). By state law, the vehicles may not stop on public roads to pick up campers after departing the pickup point location.

• Certain PUPs are not used during Spring Break, Week 1 and Week 6. Steiner Ranch is only used Week 4 (See map on next page).

• There may be delays on rainy days – We drive slow on wet streets.

• We appreciate and respect the use of the various PUP locations. Campers are expected to be models of decorum; we do not want to abuse this privilege. We are not allowed inside the buildings.

• Notes and money may be sent to the office via the PUP counselors.

Our staff has been carefully selected and will provide a character-building environment filled with fun and learning opportunities for your camper(s)!

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program

One of our amazing programs is our Counselor-in-Training program for former campers (ages 15-17) who are interested in becoming Camp Doublecreek counselors.

A 2-day training session for prospective CITs (T-Camp) will be held June 25 and 26/July 30 and 31. T-Camp is open to campers turning 15 before 6/1/19 or entering 9th Grade in Fall 2019. To sign your camper up for T-Camp or inquire about the CIT Program, please send an email to: [email protected].

Doublecreek offers group events for any occasion, such as birthday parties, girl/boy scout troops, end of year school team building, graduation or even sports teams’ events. Doublecreek hosts events based on certain core activities (horseback, rockwall, teambuilding, or swimming) for ages 4-18.

Doublecreek's Event Coordinator, Kati Turner, would love to hear from you and help you start planning your event! Kati can be reached by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 512-255-3661.

• Horsemanship lessons are available for $45 per week during summer camp. • The horsemanship program has a limited enrollment and is on a first-come, first served

basis. • Please make sure you have selected the “SCHEDULE HORSEMANSHIP” button in the

activities section of your registration and then check your statement to make sure your spot is reserved.

• Once the week has started, horsemanship cannot be added. • Campers who participate in horseback riding will miss one other activity. • Doublecreek horsemanship lessons focus on a “balanced seat” which is a combination of

western and English riding disciplines, while in western saddle. • Campers mount and ride each day. The goal of our horseback program is to teach great

horsemanship in an encouraging environment.

Please Note: Doublecreek offers hour and a half, once weekly, western style small group riding lessons in our covered riding arena and outdoor facilities from September through May. For information on off-season lessons, please email Jan Gustafson at: [email protected]

Lost Articles:

• A core value of Camp Doublecreek involves instilling responsibility for personal belongings. This is a big part of the camping experience. At the end of each week, belongings are sent home. • Camp Doublecreek assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to campers’ personal property.
