Every commissioner will be held to account by the publicvia the ballot box. They will also be held to account fortheir performance by a Police and Crime Panel.
Panels will comprise one elected representative (councillors and,where relevant, elected mayors) from each local authority withinthe force area and two independent members or co-optees
In Cambridgeshire details on the make up of the Panel is beingfinalised for June. This work is being progressed by CambridgeshireCounty Council and Peterborough Unitary Authority
