Key English Test (KET) is the first and the most basic of all Cambridge ESOL examinations. It is widely

recognized as a qualification representing a general basic ability in English. KET has been accredited by

the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), the statutory regulatory authority for external

qualifications in England, and its counterparts in Wales and Northern Ireland at Cambridge ESOL EntryLevel Certificate In ESOL International (Entry 2). This is equivalent to Level A2 of the Common European

Framework of Reference for Languages. For more information about Cambridge ESOL exams, please go

to www.CambridgeESOL.org

As an alternative and fun approach to learning and revising vocabulary, "Crosswords 1" offers the chance

to learn and memorize almost 400 words from the Cambridge Key English Test (KET) word list. The book

covers 16 topics in 16 different crosswords, arranged from the basic through to the more complex. As well

as being fun, "Crosswords 1" is an effective means of simple, direct memorization and learning, and is ideal

for both home and classroom use.

I sincerely hope that you find this book entertaining and helpful.
