Capitanerie di Porto (Coast Guard) missions:
-Search and Rescue-Maritime Law Enforcement-Protection of marine resources-Safety of navigation-Fisheries regulation
Memorandum of understanding (agreement protocols) was analysed and modified by the stakeholder it will be signed within the end of November
Guardia di Finanza (Italian Finance Police) missions:
-preventing, investigating and reporting financial evasions and violations;

-preventing, investigating and reporting financial evasions and violations;-overseeing the compliance with the provisions of politico-economic interest-surveillance at sea for financial police purposes-maintaining public order and safety and politico-military defense of the bordersOthers taskes:tax evasion, financial crimes, smuggling, money laundering, international illegal drug trafficking, illegalimmigration, customs and borders checks, copyright violations, anti-Mafia operations, credit card fraud,cybercrime, counterfeiting, terrorist financing, maintaining public order, and safety, political and militarydefense of the Italian borders.
Memorandum of understanding is under revision by the stakeholder itself

On an operational level, the Civil Protection Department:
- issues guidelines, aimed at regions, provinces and municipalities, to prepare and implement prediction and prevention programmes in relation to various risk scenarios;- prepares and implements emergency plans for type “c” events, in agreement with the pertinent regions and local organisations;- intervenes, at the request of the regional authorities, in extinguishing forest fires using the State aircraft fleet.- It organises periodical drills for national emergency plans, with the objective of verifying the effectiveness of emergency plans and testing out procedures for managing disasters on facilities and the population.-It also promotes information activities for national scenarios, in collaboration with other institutions and

-It also promotes information activities for national scenarios, in collaboration with other institutions and associations, as well as training and research activities regarding the prediction and prevention of natural and manmade risks. The training activities, organised in close collaboration with national organisations, are aimed at voluntary organisations, at the “competent territorial bodies”, namely regions, provinces, mountain communities and municipalities, as well as schools.
Memorandum of understanding (agreement protocols) has been signed on 20/10/2011
