iPhone: visit the App store. Users will enter their Apple credentials

Android: use Google Play Store. Users may need to sign in with Google

3. Choose Register.

4. Fill in registration fields and then select

Register

5. You will be brought back to home screen.

*(Note to LA staff, the information on the registration

screen must be exactly what is entered in WIC WISE.)

that are accepting the WIC card.

The California WIC Family Portal has the WIC

Card videos

The Welcome to WIC Videos links to both older

(WIC Checks) and newer (WIC Card) videos.

[NOTE: This is because the resource links on the

home page do not require registration and can

therefore be used by participants who don’t have

the card yet or even by people not on WIC.]

these appointment details:

1. WIC clinic name with phone number and address

2. Date and time

Top right corner of HOME

screen will have a red bell if

an upcoming appointment is

scheduled. When tapped, a

notification message will appear.

CHECKING FOOD BALANCE

Use Food Balance icon on HOME screen to see:

Benefits start and end dates

Food categories with amounts in total units

Future benefits that have been issued

UPC SCAN

The scanning feature is on bottom left corner

of Food Balance page. Scanning an approved

food displays screen below.

SCANNING, continued

If a participant scans a food that is WIC authorized but

NOT part of their benefits package, the screen to the left

will display.

If a participant scans a food that is not WIC authorized, a red

X will appear.

Keep in mind!

If users think the food should be WIC authorized, users

can take a picture of the food item label (back and

front) and barcode, and send it to

WICfoods@cdph.ca.gov.

SEARCHING FOR WIC LOCATIONS

and GROCERS

There are icons on the HOME

screen to find locations.

Participants enter their zip code to

find WIC clinics in their area or

grocery stores in their area that

accept WIC.

Helpful Tips

Participant can take a picture of both sides of their WIC

card in case it gets lost or stolen

Add WIC office phone number and WIC Card customer

service number to their contacts
