The distribution of Caleidioscopio The film ‘Caleidioscopio’, produced by Jason’s

Group. A low budget film targeted at a niche audience. Limited finance and unknown actors, the thriller

revolves around a young adult audience that are passionate about low budget crime thrillers.

Alikeness with the film ‘Following’ (1998), which may have the same fan base as ‘Caleidioscopio’.

Revolved around criminal antics and other action based scenes, such as murder and robberies, the powerful and heart racing extracts would have the audience glued to the screen.

No elaborate technology such as IMAX or 3D because of limited funding.

How Caleidoscopio attract the audience? The story is located and filmed in London. Showing

different aspects of the wealthier and poorer sides of the capital city. The story focuses around gangs in the deprived parts of London and evokes the audience of the dangers of being in a gang and how people end up in one. With shots of some of the most iconic buildings in the world, such as the houses of parliament, an audience from all over the globe would recognise some of the places that were at threat.

Who would distribute Caleidioscopio? Film4 Productions is a British film production company

owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The company is recognized nationally for supporting a large number of films made in the United Kingdom. The company was established in 1984 to produce diverse and challenging films for the British network Channel 4.

o The company could promote the release of Caleidioscopio on DVD by previewing trailers on the television network. Also the film could be shown on the channel after the release as a repeat.

Other ways of distributing Caleidioscopio The film would be of access to buy on the Internet

ITunes and Amazon. As it could be promoted upon its release and would offer a wider range of audience at it could be downloaded/ bought there and then. The film could be sold for a cheaper price for these websites, however because of our young adult target audience, this may be of a better accessibility for them and escalate in demand. On ITunes, customers have the ability to leave reviews on the film, which could directly arise debate and if checked upon, give feedback to the producers if the audience is satisfied with their purchase.
