Our Studio

Cadiz Design Studio is a collective of architects, designers, artists and entrepreneurs, sharing the belief that we are more innovative and effective together, than apart.While inspired by the expression of poetic and conceptual ideals, we are also enthusiastic problem-solvers, unafraid of crossing disciplines and traditional boundaries in search of thoughtful, innovative and economic solutions. Each project is unique and so too are the means by which we arrive at the built form. It is our goal to leverage the tools and resources available to us in order to optimize the aesthetic and functional results for our client.Our Studio is committed to principles of sustainability in all aspects of our work, taking a leadership role in solving the challenges facing the architecture and design professions today. Our goal is to act from an informed perspective, crafting a balance of environmental concerns with great design and cost-effective means.

At Cadiz Design Studio, sustainable design is a global vision. We believe our firm must take an active role in defining the evolution of a sustainable world while helping to create exceptional hospitality venues that are memorable for guests and profitable for our clients.

We are conscious of the potential impact our profession can have on natural and delicate ecosystems. Our goal is to act from an informed perspective that strikes a satisfying balance between great design, a cost effective budget, and environmental awareness. Protecting our clients’ resources and realizing design goals creates a symbiotic relationship - healthy and efficient buildings working in harmony with the natural environment.

Cadiz Design Studio is committed to researching and applying meaningful change in our office environment, business practices, and personal lives to better understand the challenges and rewards of working and living “green”.

We are currently working with major hotel brands and boutique hotels to explore, develop and implement a range of environmental initiatives. Short term goals center on site optimization, energy and water efficiency, sustainable material selection, and improvement of indoor air quality. Long term benefits include improved guest satisfaction and environmental awareness, hotel brand connection to positive and sustainable business practices, operational cost savings, non-renewable resource conservation, landfill waste reduction, and mitigation of harmful greenhouse gas emissions. New business incentives and governmental legislation are challenging the hospitality industry to consider environmental guidelines and implement revised business strategies.

Cadiz Design Studio provides a wide range of services to assist our clients in achieving sustainable programs for operations, maintenance, and sustainable design for renovation or new construction when appropriate. Our comprehensive approach utilizes a wide range of nationally recognized rating systems and local sustainability programs.

We guide clients from an understanding of current operations to identifying opportunities of beneficial change, both short term and long term.

We assist our clients in setting attainable goals for a timely and cost effective transition to greater sustainability – and ultimately, increased efficiency and profitability.

Our firm belief is that through deliberate and thoughtful collaboration with our clients in hospitality, we can achieve lasting and positive change, building business success and market position for developers and hoteliers, while creating a healthier, more enjoyable and sustainable environment for guests.
