No mater which friend our kid invites around, pizza and chips appears to be liked by all. A cooked pocket pizza One of the big hits at campsites and day camps are our pocket pizzas. We’ve also made a pizza pie in our Dutch Oven. On a recent visit to a show at Camping World we saw Cadac demonstrating their cooking system, and what no better way of demonstrating, than by cooking stone-baked pizzas up for the crowd. What is a Cadac? I suspect you’re wondering what a Cadac is. Cadac is a South African company that makes a range of outdoor cooking stoves. What they are most know for in this country is for their Cadac Chef range of stoves that are practical to use when camping. We’ve not yet used a Cadac ourselves, but have heard a lot about them, know people who love their Cadac stove, and we were very impressed when Cadac took us through their stove system at Camping World. What makes a Cadac special? When you first see a Cadac it looks very much like any other gas powered BBQ. However, there are some very good design features that makes it much more versatile than a BBQ, and why so many families love using them for camping.

would typically last for , hours of continuous cooking1 howe#er
these sto#es are designed to work with much larger gas cylinders

can also be placed in different positions allowing you to shield
the wind regardless of what direction it comes from/$sing the
&adac for ?oasting2n top of the hob you place the &adac
roast pan/0ow this isn4t like a normal roasting pan/ 8t has a
special channel in it that you fill with water/ All the oils
andfats from roasting drain into this channel that you can >ust
empty after cooking1 making cleaning a lot easier/2n top of this
pan you insert a deflector plate/ This is designed to mo#e heat
away from the bottom and to thetop/Abo#e this deflector plate you
put the grill and on top of that you can use a foil dish for
roasting/.ut the lid on and it turns into an o#en1 thanks to the
deflector plate mo#ing the heat from the bottom to the top/$sing
the &adac as a Griddle8f you don4t need to use the &adac as
an o#en1 you can use it as a !!9/Simply place the griddle plate on
top of the roasting pan/ou can use this either side/ 2ne side with
groo#es for cooking things like sausages@ the other side is flat
and ideal for frying eggs/$sing the &adac as a 3okThis is only
possible on the smaller Safari &adac sto#e1 but on that one you
can turn the lid upside down and use it as a wok!3hat about the

businessA how to make pi%%as on the &adac/ou set the &adac
up as an o#en with the deflector plate fitted1 with the grill on
top/&adac .i%%a Stone2n top of the grill you then place the
&adac .i%%a Stone/ This is an extra accessory that you can get
for both the large and small &adac sto#es/The way they cooked
pi%%as was really straightforward and something that would be
really Buick easy to do at the campsite/$se pitta bread as the
base/.aste .i%%a Sauce on top of the pitta bread/Sprinkle grated
cheese/.lace on pi%%a stone and put the lid back on the
&adac/3ait a few minutesCand #oilaA instant stone baked pi%%as
