Cabide Spray Powder A&S
Product description:
The Tungsten Carbide Mixed powder is commonly used in thermal spray, cemented carbides, and
Hard-facing alloy coating. WC-Co powders offers dense, excellent bonding and provides resistant
to abrasion, erosion and sliding wear. Mo coatings also have high wear resistance but with low
coefficient of friction, suitable for coating of piston rings.
Characteristics:
1. High hardness and excellent abrasion resistance.

Carbide Thermal Spray Powder
1. What is carbide thermal spray powder?
Carbide thermal spray powder is a kind of hardfacing material which can make the surface of the
other metals, workpieces and large scale furnishments strength. It can be plated to the surface of
the workpieces which need to be harden by the way of Hvof or Plasma Spraying to make the
workpieces more wearable, heat-resistant erodent-resistant, concussion-resistant for a long life
using. It also can be used for making the coating with those special functions such as hermetical
function, heat insulation; insulation, superconduct etc. and it can be applied to many fields such
as metalworking, navigation, avigation and geological prospecting etc.

Generally Tungsten carbide materials are recommended for wear applications wit service
temperatures of less than 500°C(930°C), as high temperatures will resulting the formation of
brittle phases that reduce wear resistance and coating integrity, manufacturing process,
individual carbide size and spray process are critical to overall performance, as is application
tribology. Typical wear applications include erosion (low angle), abrasion, fretting, sliding wear
and impact resistance. Matrixes of higher cobalt levels improve coating toughness. The addition
of chromium improves atmospheric corrosion. Powder selection and spray process is important
for applications with specific surface finish requirements.

Applications
Metal tungsten and tungsten carbide powders as raw materials are minxed,packed in
a graphite boat,melted in a melting furnace at about 2900℃,and held for a certain
time to obtain alloy casting block of cast tungsten carbide with main phases of W2C
and WC and grain particle size of 1-3um.particle is silver grey with metal luster.
Cast tungsten carbide is applied by oxygen-acetylene flame,arc,spray,braze and wet
welding on wear places.It is also adhered firmly to the surface of wear work pieces
with epoxy resin and inorganic additives at lower temperature and impact .The parts
of piled-up cast tungsten carbide coating can stand high temperature and impact .It
characterized by ling tool life,easy maintenance,low cost and improved productivity
In the production,equipment normally run is dependent on materials wear resistance
for wear parts in great degree .Selection of materisls with better wear resistance
provides longer equipment-life and stable running .Cast tungsten carbide as a wear
material is widely used in the mining, petroleum,construction and agricultural
machinery and steel industry etc.because of its high hardness(HRA93.0-93.7),good
wear resistance,easy piled-up welding and low cost.

Cast Tungsten Carbide Welding Rod
Characters: it is a tungsten carbide wear resistance build-up welding tube, used for welding
on metal material with bad weldability surface and obtains high wear resistance.
Application: Built-up welding by brass solder, metallurgical joint is formed between built-up
welding metal and the welded metal, especially suitable for built-up welding of
petroleum-exploiting and mining tool(for example: steel-tooth drill) and mechanical
parts that is subject to strong abrasion of rock and sand.
