Parents:CRAFT WORKSHOP:
On Wednesday, December 9th we will be holding our very first loteria with opportunities to win Christmas ornaments and articles. All funds from this event will be used to celebrate our teachers in May during Teacher Appreciation Week. We need your help so this event is a huge success. Many of you have artistic talents and this is your opportunity to show them off while teaching and learning from others ideas. Starting on Monday November 9th during school hours until Dec. 8th (everyday) we invite all parents to take part in an arts and crafts workshop. You can bring your own ideas of Christmas articles that you think would be of interest to the public, or simply come and help create the ideas of others. This is an excellent opportunity to visit the school, meet other parents, learn how to make arts and crafts, and thank our teachers for everything they do for your children.
For our working parents for whom it’s impossible to attend these workshops you can also help out by purchasing a Christmas article and donating it for our loteria or you can work on your arts and crafts project at home and send it to us once it’s complete. Message from the Counselor:
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, it is a time to be thankful for what we have and an opportunity to demonstrate our gratitude through actions. If you are interested in making donations for the Thanksgiving baskets that will be going to IDEA families we are in need of the following items:
Cranberry Cans Chicken Broth Marshmallows Macaroni &Cheese Injectable Creole Butter Marinade Mashed Potatoes(Box) Rice / Pasta BrownSugar Cream of Mushroom Green Beans Gravy Beans Cookies Crispy Fried Onions Corn Mixed Vegetables cans Tomato Sauce Stuffing Sweet Potatoes Spaghetti We hope that through your generosity and kind hearts we are able to help at least 20 of our families. We will be accepting donations in the front office with Ms. Fabiola Lozano. I know that together we will make Thanksgiving Dinners possible for many of our families in need. In advance, thank you for your donations.
Kickboard:Kickboard reports will be printed and sent home to sign every 3 weeks. The expectation is that we receive 100% of the reports signed the following day. Teachers will make sure students write this in their planner during Homeroom and intervention so they do not forget. Any student that fails to return the signed report will be assigned west-wing and will have to write IDEA 16 25 times during their stay in West-Wing. Expect to receive reports on 11/19, 12/10, 1/7, 1/28, 2/18, 3/17, 4/7, 4/28, and 5/19. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Remember our Challenge:
20 Day-November Attendance Challenge- On Tuesday, November 3rd, IDEA Riverview began an Attendance Challenge.
Homerooms with the highest attendance will receive funding for their Homeroom Attendance Party.
Students and their Parents with perfect attendance during the challenge will be entered in a raffle for an opportunity to win 2 Cinemark Passes and a $25 Cinemark Gift Card. Students with two tardies will be disqualified from the raffle.

Queridos Padres,Taller de Manualidades:El Miércoles 9 de Diciembre tendremos nuestra primera lotería con oportunidades de ganar artículos Navideños. Los fondos de este tipo de evento serán usados para celebrar a nuestros maestros en Mayo durante la semana de aprecio del profesor. Necesitamos su ayuda para que este evento sea un éxito. Muchos de ustedes tienen muchos talentos de manualidades y esta es su oportunidad de enseñar y aprender compartiendo diferentes ideas. Empezando el lunes 9 de noviembre durante las horas de escuela hasta el 8 de diciembre todos los días los invitamos a participar en un taller de manualidades. Pueden traer sus propias ideas de artículos que piensen puedan ser del interés del público, o simplemente venir y ayudar a crear las ideas de los demás. Esta es una excelente oportunidad para visitar la escuela, convivir con otros padres, aprender a hacer manualidades, y agradecer a los maestros todo lo que hacen por sus hijos.
Para nuestros padres que trabajan y les es imposible acompañarnos también los invitamos a comprar un artículo y donarlo para nuestra lotería o pueden hacer su manualidad en casa y mandarla cuando esté terminada. Mensaje de la Consejera:El Día de Acción de Gracias está a la vuelta de la esquina, es un momento para dar gracias por lo que tenemos y una oportunidad para demostrar nuestra gratitud a través de acciones. Si usted está interesado en hacer donaciones para las canastas de Acción de Gracias que se van a dar a las familias de IDEA nos encontramos en necesidad de los siguientes alimentos: Latas de arándano Consomé de Pollo (lata) Bombones Macarrón con queso Mantequilla Inyectable Puré de Papa Arroz Azúcar Morena Pasta Crema de champiñones Ejotes Gravy Frijoles Galletas Cebolla frita crujiente Elote en lata Verduras Mixtas (lata) Salsa de tomate Relleno Camote (lata) Espaguetis Pasta de tomateEsperamos que a través de su generosidad y amabilidad podamos ayudar por lo menos a 20 de nuestras familias. Kickboard:Reportes de Kickboard serán mandados a casa cada 3 semanas. La expectativa es que recibamos el 100% de los reportes firmados por los padres al día siguiente. Los maestros se aseguraran que alumnos escriban esto en su agenda durante Homeroom y otra vez durante Intervención para evitar que se les olvide. Cualquier alumno que no regrese el reporte firmado por sus padres será asignado West-Wing y tendrá que escribir la IDEA 16 25 veces durante el tiempo en West-Wing. Esperen recibir los reportes los siguientes días; 11/19, 12/10, 1/7, 1/28, 2/18, 3/17, 4/7, 4/28, and 5/19. Gracias por su comprensión y continuo apoyo.
Concurso de Asistencia de 20 Días en Noviembre- El martes, 3 de Noviembre, IDEA Riverview empezó el concurso de asistencia.
Los salones con la asistencia más alta recibirán fondos para una fiesta de asistencia en su salón.
Estudiantes y sus padres que tengan asistencia perfecta durante el concurso entraran a una rifa para recibir 2 pases para el cine y una tarjeta de $25 para el cine. Estudiantes con dos tardanzas serán descalificados para las rifas.
