C3S Energy Rat ionale
• Developing a Climate Service with and for Energy Industry
stakeholders. This means:
i. Not just capacity factors but W, MWh, MJ, etc. – so we can also
easily compare demand with supply
ii. Continue bridging the communication gap between climate and
energy, and involve a wider community in the conversation –
policy makers, strategists, but also students
iii. Strengthen the knowledge of climate scientists interested in
energy issues

C3S Energy webinars
• The World Energy & Meteorology Council (WEMC) and the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts on behalf of the European Union, are launching a new series of webinars, aimed at sharing information and knowledge from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) Energy project.
• The first webinar in the series will focus on how the C3S Climate Data Store is used to obtain datasets for building energy indicators. It will also cover how climate data are used and the potential use of the Climate Data Store (CDS) and its Toolbox.
• This webinar is beneficial for sectoral end users, policy-makers, climate scientists, climate students or those in related fields who want to acquire additional skills.
