Thank you all Markham Stakeholders for a wonderful start to the school year. At this point, all of our students should have brought home interim progress reports for your review. Please make sure to review these documents with your child(ren). In addition, feel free to contact your child(ren)’s teacher if any questions remain. Now’s the time to make a great push to finish the 1st quarter strong. Congratulations to Mary V. in Kindergarten for being selected as the kindergarten student of the week. As a result, she received two tickets to attend the Miami Dolphins game against the Cleveland Browns. Congratulations to Mary and her family for receiving this honor! Each grade level will be selecting students of the week to attend future Miami Dolphin games. We will be looking for students demonstrating our STAR expectations. We would like to send a special thanks to the Florida Department of Health and staff for the free dental screenings and cleanings afforded to our students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. This was a great success.

We would like welcome Ms. Martine Joseph, 1st Grade Teacher, back who will be replacing Ms. Noel. Ms. Noel is an aspiring teacher who has served very well in this position. We wish Ms. Noel all the best in her future endeavors. We would also like to welcome Ms. Alisa Loray, Kindergarten Teacher and Ms. Alyssa Jean as our new Resource Teacher.

Volunteers MUST reapply every school year. Parents are encouraged to complete a Volunteer Application online at: www.getinvolvedineducation.com
