Zambia’s fauna and flora are extraordinarily rich, and the country offers visitors a vast array of memorable nature experiences. During the summer, at dusk, you’ll watch herds of elephants visit the waterholes of the Lower Zambezi National Park. Between July and October, head to Kafue National Park for an exhilarating experience deep in the heart of the African bush. This vast 22,400 square kilometer park – one of the largest in the world – is home to a huge variety of wildlife, including a number of rare antelopes and over 400 bird species. Don’t miss the Bangweulu Swamps to get a glimpse of their most intriguing resident - the legendary shoebill.

La faune et la flore zambiennes sont d’une grande richesse et le pays propose une palette d’expériences mémorables en pleine nature. Au Lower Zambezi National Park, on peut observer pendant l’été des troupeaux d’éléphants s’abreuver au crépuscule. Straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, the breathtaking, 1,700-meter-wide Victoria Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. No visit to Zimbabwe is complete without a visit to the waterfall, especially between April and August, when it is at its fullest. 100 kilometres away, you’ll find Hwange National Park, a favourite destination among photo enthusiasts. The Mana Pools National Park, part of the Zambezi River floodplain, is famed for its mysterious forest cathedral of Ana trees and offers spectacular views over its four permanent lakes and the many seasonal pools that appear during the rainy season.

Situées entre la Zambie et le Zimbabwe, les chutes Victoria s’étirent sur 1 700 mètres et sont inscrites au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Every year, after the rains, over two million animals migrate across Tanzania. From its giant baobabs and volcanic craters to the vast expanses of Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria, this is a country of infinite landscapes and larger-than-life volumes. The immense expanse of the Serengeti (“endless plains” in the Maa language) is a photographer’s dream during the Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebra parade across the veld in the world’s most astonishing wildlife spectacle. Also not to be missed are the Ngorongoro Crater and Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

Chaque année, deux millions d’herbivores migrent après les pluies en Tanzanie.
