San Francisco 49ers quarter-back, Colin Kaepernick, remained seated for the playing of the nation-al anthem in the first two preseason National Football League games this year. Perhaps because he was dressed in street clothes due to injury or maybe fewer eyes were on television screens in these pre-liminary contests, but few media outlets picked up on Kaepernick’s silent protest. Fast forward to the final preseason game of the year played in San Diego, home to near-ly 100,000 military personnel and one of the country’s largest naval bases, and Kaepernick’s protest put him front and center on the news.

As a measure of how patriotic or traitorous his actions, US veter-ans lined up on both sides of the issue. KRON4, a Bay Area news station interviewed numerous veterans condemning Kaepernick including Vietnam War Veteran, Patty O’Day, “As a veteran, I just want him to know that my fellow veterans fought for him so that he had the right to do that but he is

Former marine and navy seal join forcesErnEst Gurulé

They used to be the stuff of pulp fiction, even mainstays in comic books, but the whole world of private investigators-

--detectives---has changed. The day when Sam Spade, Phillip Marlow or even Dick Tracy could take an obscure clue like lipstick on a cigarette or a crumpled betting slip and solve a crime is so 20th Century. So, too, are the days when a Hollywood gumshoe was a straight-from-central casting white guy.

“Those days are long gone,” says Denver native Michael Mancha, President and CEO of the Denver-based Pilum Defense Agency. He and his partner, Stephen Barela, also Denver born and bred, are no one’s idea of a detective, that is, if you’re basing your idea on the silver screen version.

“We kind of blend in,” says Mancha. “I think in a changing world where diversity is fast becoming the norm and not the exception, that’s kind of a good thing.”

Mancha, 39, is a former Marine and combat veteran. Barela is a former Navy SEAL, perhaps the military’s most iconic warriors. The SEALs, you’ll recall, were the last people Osama bin Laden ever saw on earth. Like Mancha, he is also a combat veteran.

The pair met back in Denver after their service days and found out that beyond their military bond, they also had other things in common, not the least of which was wanting to parlay the skills honed in the military and perhaps take them in a different direction.

Before the Marines, which he joined at the relatively late age of 25, Mancha worked for the city of Denver. “I was a diversion officer,” he said over a cup of coffee at a West Denver Starbucks. It was a good job but not something he wanted as a career.

The 40-something Barela joined the Navy not long after high school. Becoming a SEAL wasn’t part of the plan but looking back, he says, “being a SEAL is the best thing I got out of the Navy and the best thing I could give in service to

my country.” He still wears his SEAL trident pin, the out-fit’s unmistakable three-pronged spear taken from ancient mythology.

Both Mancha and Barela carry with them service-related medical issues. Mancha incurred his in Iraq, a place he calls an adventure in every sense of the word. “Looking back, it was like a movie, only it wasn’t,” he says with no hint of romanticizing. In real war, you lose real friends and he did. On his second tour, a routine convoy went bad. The vehicle carrying him and a handful of young Marines, hit a roadside bomb. The explosion blew him from the vehicle. It killed two buddies.

Pilum, the name of the agency, was also the weapon of choice used by Roman soldiers. Barela chose it because it symbolized strength. The pilum was a heavy metal spear, about six to seven feet in length with a pyramidal head. A single blow or lance was often fatal.

But just as Hollywood’s version of a detective is history, so, too, is the ancient pilum. Today, Mancha and Barela

depend on far more sophis-ticated defense. Both are licensed to carry handguns. Each chose the ones that they became familiar with during their service days. Luckily, they haven’t had to use them and that may be because they’re not always chasing crooks whose stock-in-trade is the shootout. Another reason is because detective work has changed.

“It’s not chasing unfaith-ful spouses any more, though we’ve done that,” says Mancha with a slight grin. Today’s successful P.I.

has to catch crooks in cyberspace, ferret out hidden assets including stocks, bonds, jewelry, cash and more. “We find out what our clients need or want and go from there.”

Sitting with the pair, one quickly learns that if an old-time gumshoe came back and saw the world of today’s private investigator, he might simply head back to the graveyard.

Pilum is licensed for civil and criminal defense inves-tigations, has expertise in digital forensic work, the collec-tion and analysis of electronically stored information, EEO (employment) matters and more. They are licensed by the state and contract with both law firms and private citizens.

Pilum also employees a team of specialists, both mili-tary and non-military, who are trained in the aforementioned disciplines. The organization is guided by an eight-member advisory board, including a retired Major General.

Between Mancha and Barela, the pair has nearly twenty years of combined military service. Each also brings special and unique skills to the job.

For his part, Mancha completed his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Colorado-Denver. He is currently enrolled in a graduate program and expects to complete his work next year. As an investigator, he is accredited as a National Trainer by the Crime Prevention Council and also is a Certified Negotiation Expert.

Barela, a licensed lead investigator, has also used his military skills, including human intelligence training (HUMINT), in his detective work. He is also a certified small arms expert. Barela is a recipient of the Navy’s Commendation Medal with Combat “V,” for valor and the Navy’s Achievement Medal, also with the Combat “V,” and numerous other citations.

Because Mancha and Barela are licensed and approved by the state of Colorado, they are allowed to contract with state agencies in tracking down individuals along with data and collateral the state deems germane. “It’s not easy getting the state’s stamp of approval for a relatively new operation like ours or to win the confidence and respect of a long-standing law firm,” says Mancha. “But our track record to date proves we’re reliable and results-oriented.”

When the pair began Pilum, they also wanted to employ like-minded investigators. Nearly all of Pilum’s investigators, which also include women, are veterans. Those who have no military experience, bring government experience.

“A veteran brings an intangible to the job,” says Mancha. “It’s a bond that is unbroken and unspoken. And, as a team, you just have confidence in them and they have confidence in you.”

Asked which of the jobs, the military or detective work, is more exciting, Barela answers for the pair. “The kind of work we do today is for a client. The kind of work that pre-pared us for this, was for our country.”

Venerable appointed to 27J Board of Education

The School District 27J Board of Education has appointed its new-est director. Jenn Venerable was sworn in during the board’s meet-ing this evening. She will repre-sent District 6 and takes the place of Teresa Gallegos, who stepped down from the board in September. The District 6 area, which includes sections of unincorporated Adams County east of Yosemite Street, stretches from 124th Avenue on the south to north of Weld County Road 2. The area includes North and Northeast Elementary as well as Overland Trail Middle School.

Commerce City breaks ground Commerce City broke ground on the new recreation

center near E. 112th Avenue and Potomac St., celebrating the fourth project underway in the city’s voter-approved capital improvement program. The new recreation center is planned as a 106,000-square-foot facility that includes an indoor pool, multi-court gymnasium with an elevated walk-ing/jogging track, a nearly 10,000-square-foot gymnastics area, weights/fitness area, dance/aerobics studio, rooftop balcony, a 300-person community room and a multi-gener-ational lounge.

Korean President Park Geun-hye has found herself in a scandal and protests asking for her resignation have begun. Choi Soon-sil, one of Park’s closest friends, is accused of being involved in government business with no security clearance. Choi Soon-sil is accused of interfering in state affairs and influencing peddling. Park has admitted that Choi edited her political speeches. Police esti-mated that 8,000 people took to the streets to protest Park.

ISIS attacked the group of people as they were entering the mountains to gather wood for the winter. Those kidnapped were shot and killed as security forces attempted to rescue them. Although ISIS is primarily located in Iraq and Syria, U.S. officials have expressed their concerns for the group’s growth in Afghanistan. U.S. Department of Defense Deputy Press Secretary Gordon Trowbridge called the area “a hotbed” for ISIS.

The terrorist group abducted more than 200 schoolgirls in the country two years ago.

“blackest day yet.” Officials said they also dug out three people from rubble.

Jose Fernandez’ body - Toxicology reports of Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez revealed that the pitcher had cocaine and alcohol in his system during the time of his accident. Fernandez and two of his friends died on September 24, in a boating accident. Fernandez’ blood-alcohol content level was significantly higher than Florida’s legal limit. Officials in Miami determined that the boat was speeding when it hit a pier.

Rio de Janerio has elected its new mayor, Marcelo Crivella. Crivella defeated left-wing candidate Marcelo Freixo by 20 percentage points. Crivella is an evangelical pastor who has promised to bring law and order to Rio de Janerio. The evangelical community accounts for a fifth of Brazil’s population, despite the fact that Brazil is one of ten countries with the largest Catholic following in the world. Analysts believe Crivella won by such a large margin because of Brazilians anger over an economic recession and cor-ruption within the left-wing Workers Party.

your vote will make a differenceGovernor Jan Brewer says that

whatever projections the polls may show about Arizona Latino intent in this election it will make little difference because according to her, Latinos don’t vote.

Her feelings reflect one of sev-eral strategies designed to discount the Latino vote and its influence in the national election.

Brewer’s standard bearer, Donald Trump in Golden this past

Saturday questioned the Colorado mail-ballot system as part of his campaign to impugn the vote in the country and make it align with his message that the system is rigged if it does not elect him. In other words, in his mind, your vote counts only if you vote for him.

“Terri Lynn Rote, a 55-year-old Des Moines resident” and a Trump supporter in Iowa was arrested and charged for vot-ing twice because she believed the Republican presidential candidate that the “polls are rigged.” It appears that for her, an “unrigged” system allows for her to vote more than once.

To think that voting fraud is OK as long your candidate

wins demeans and subverts the most important institution of a democracy. It also can discourage every-day citizens from casting their votes because they are made to believe that will not lead to anything.

So when a candidate alleges voter fraud and that the election is rigged and then we find that the fraud he is talk-ing about is actually being committed by his own people, the action evidences a troubling pattern of deceit. I do not claim to be a psychologist, but I have read Carl Jung as part of my graduate study and find that his work on the projection of conscious and unconscious realities on the human landscape resonates here.

When a person can project his own shortcomings on others things such as fraud and “rigging” can be tools of the author seeking to see in others the elements of his own char-acter. This is dangerous especially when the express thoughts go beyond the personal to the indictment of all in society regardless of their politics.

In response, the tendency on the part of those negatively singled out is to withdraw and not participate. Voter suppres-sion cause by illegitimate claims and conspiracies cannot be allowed to infect the important and difficult work of an election.

The message to each citizen is to register and cast a vote because a vote represents one more element that expresses the will of the people. And do not be taken in by conspira-cies created by those attempting to convince you that there is something wrong with your place in this most significant democratic institution.

My experience has been that when I registered to vote I had the opportunity to identify my affiliation or not. When I came to vote in my precinct there was at least a Democrat and a Republican attending to the process of my vote and keeping a watchful eye on the voting instruments all around them.

Now that we have a mail-in ballot I have the confidence that my vote will be counted accurately and hope that my will is also that of the majority that is the goal on every issue. I share that confidence with you and expect you to take the time to register, fill out your ballot and mail it or deposit it in a secure ballot box in indicated locations.

Remember that voting reaffirms our liberty and free-dom to choose our political leaders. It also defeats those seeking to destroy something that we inherited with our Constitution..

Gabby and I have sat down for coffee. Due to her and her husband’s recent and continued strife with the Department of Veterans Affairs she has asked her full name not be used. Both served in the United States Armed Forces. Her husband saw deployment to Iraq in 2006 and Afghanistan in 2009.

Our topic was meant to focus on Veteran’s Day and the celebrations to honor veterans who have served and are cur-rently serving in the countries armed forces, which number 23.2 million. With 2016 being an election year and Election Day less than a week away, celebrating veterans is a difficult task, especially for a veteran who does not feel celebrated.

“Every politician tries to cater to us or use as pawns in some fashion,” said Gabby, a registered Republican who remains undecided on her vote for President. “They all say they are going to fix the VA, that they are going to create something that will ensure that veterans have access to education, health care, mental health care and respectable wages. Yet, every election cycle we’re left with the status quo.”

The VA health care system had 54 hospitals in 1930 and has since expanded to 171 medical centers; more than 350 outpatient, community, and outreach clinics; 126 nursing home care units; and 35 live-in care facilities for injured or disabled veterans.

Those numbers are glossy on the surface, Gabby said, but the department rarely delivers as multiple VA-related scandals have shown.

The agency’s inspector general has uncovered multiple occurrences of mismanagement at the department’s health

care and medical centers, including the $1.7 billion facility under construction in Denver, a price brought about by mas-sive cost overruns.

“The VA is broken, and if we want veterans to be assured of a VA that works, we need to systemically reform it,” said John Cooper, a spokesman for Concerned Veterans of America in a release.

Both of the principal presidential candidates have espoused the need to fix the VA, neither of them, however have won over one of the country’s 1.8 million female vet-erans.

“I have listened to Secretary Clinton discuss the need to reform the VA so it will work for everyone,” Gabby said. “But that’s such a broad statement, especially coming from some-

one who initially dismissed the scandal altogether.” That does not mean, however, that the GOP nominee

has won her over either. “Criticizing your opponent because she didn’t react

initially to the VA scandal isn’t much of a plan either,” she said. “And it’s not like [Donald Trump] has presented a plan. Saying, ‘we’re going to take care of our veterans like they have never been taken care of before,’ is just as broad as say-ing that we’re going to create a plan that works for everyone. Give me a concrete plan and you’ll get my vote.”

“At the end of the day, we need someone who is going to service us and represent us,” she said. “We are a large con-tingent of the population and I don’t know a single veteran that doesn’t vote. I think we should be at the forefront of the candidates’ platform, not reserved for the back.”

include, William J. Crawford who served in the Army in WWII; Carl L. Sitter who served in the Marines in Korea; Raymond G. “Jerry” Murphy who served in the Marines in Korea; and Drew D. Dix who served in the Army in Vietnam.

The Medal of Honor is the highest military award that a military service member can receive, one that Teddy Roosevelt worked toward, but never received. Pueblo is the only city in the Unites States that boasts that top honor bestowed on four local recipients. As President Eisenhower was presenting Raymond G. “Jerry” Murphy the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1963, he remarked, “ What is it, something in the water there in Pueblo? All you guys turn out to be heroes!.”

In 1993 Pueblo adopted the name “Home of Heroes” after Colorado Representative Scott McInnis brought to light Congressional Record information proving that Pueblo was the only city with four living recipients. Pueblo’s Central High School is the only school in the history of the U.S. to graduate two Medal of Honor recipients.

Pueblo has since adopted its name and continues to

pay tribute to its military heroes. In 2001 the city unveiled a unique memorial and placed it outside the entrance of the Convention Center. The memorial was named Heroes Plaza. The memorial is made up of four 8-foot statues of each of the winners and was declared a National Medal of Honor Memorial by the U.S. congress.

William J. Crawford received his Medal of Honor for, “For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at risk of life above and beyond the call of duty in action with the enemy near Altavilla, Italy, September, 1943.

Raymond G. Murphy received his honor, “For conspicu-ous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty as a Platoon Commander of Company A, in action against enemy aggressor forces. Although pain-fully wounded by fragments from an enemy mortar shell while leading his evacuation platoon in support of assault

units attacking a cleverly concealed and well-entrenched hostile force occupying commanding ground, 2d Lt. Murphy steadfastly refused medical aid and continued to lead his men up a hill through a withering barrage of hostile mortar and small-arms fire.”

Carl L. Sitter received his Medal of Honor, “For conspic-uous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty as commanding officer of Company G, in action against enemy aggressor forces. Ordered to break through enemy-infested territory to reinforce his battalion the morning of November, 29, Capt. Sitter continuously exposed himself to enemy fire as he led his company for-ward and, despite 25 percent casualties suffered the furious action, succeeded in driving through to his objective.”

Drew Dix received his Medal of Honor, “For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Staff Sgt. Dix distinguished himself by exceptional heroism while serving as a unit adviser. Two heavily armed Viet Cong battalions attacked the Province capital City of Chau Phu resulting in the complete breakdown and fragmentation of the defenses of the city. Staff Sgt. Dix, with a patrol of Vietnamese soldiers, was recalled to assist in the defense of Chau Phu. Learning that a nurse was trapped in a house near the center of the city, Staff Sgt. Dix organized a relief force, successfully rescued the nurse, and returned her to the safety of the Tactical Operations Center.”

We honor all veterans today for their valor, determina-tion and patriotism-all in an effort for our continued freedom.

‘something’s in the water, in Pueblo!’

Pueblo se conoce como una de las ciudades más grandes de la parte sur del estado. Tiene mucha relevancia histórica y es el hogar de compañías que aumentan la economía del estado. Aparte de eso, algunos reconocen a Pueblo por algo muy especial. disrespecting their service. You don’t attack the very symbol of our unity by refusing to stand and showing disrespect.”

In response to Kaepernick’s protest, numerous veterans supported the football player, defending his right to bring to light important issues regarding racism in the United States. The most notable support came from Army veteran, Richard Allen Smith, who penned an open letter on Medium.com* drawing analogy to baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson’s feelings about the national anthem and including Robinson’s quote, ““I cannot stand and sing the anthem. I cannot salute the flag; I know that I am a black man in a white world.” Smith sums up the letter, “Far from disrespecting our troops, there is no finer form of appreciation for our sacrifice than for Americans to enthusiastically exercise their freedom of speech.” The signatories to that letter are an impres-sive group of veterans from the Navy, Air Force, Army and Marines.

With the impending presidential election, the discus-sion around Kaepernick has centered less around the racism in our justice system and relations between the African American community and police that the quarterback was trying to highlight and more on whether his actions and the actions of others are patriotic. Republican Presidential Nominee, Donald Trump inserted himself in the conversa-tion calling Kaepernick’s actions bad for the country and talking about how his actions disrespected veterans.

Trump’s use of veterans as a political topic didn’t stop there. Already on record for calling Senator John McCain, Republican from Arizona and Prisoner of War during the Vietnam War, a “dummy,” Trump doubled down at a July 2015 Iowa Family Leadership Summit saying, “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured — I like people that weren’t captured, okay? I hate to tell you.”

Nonetheless, Trump continues to present to veterans

groups for potential support on the November ballot. This summer, Trump spoke in North Carolina at a Veterans of Foreign Wars conference promising to install a veterans’ hotline in the White House.

Not to be outdone on veterans’ political issues, Democratic Presidential Nominee, Secretary Hillary Clinton, has largely let Trump’s words speak for themselves. A 30-sec-ond television ad shows Trump speaking at various events deriding McCain, comparing sacrifices Trump himself has made compared to those of military veterans, and Trump say-ing he always wanted a Purple Heart award. The reactions of military veterans pictured while Trump is talking shows their dismay and heartbreak. A longer ad featured on social media shows one of those veterans, who lost a leg during military service, talking about earning a Purple Heart and how Trump has no concept of sacrifices veterans have made.

Closer to home, U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, in the midst of his re-election campaign has a page on his web site featuring his perspective toward veterans. At heart of much of the discussion regarding veterans in the campaign against Republican nominee, Darryl Glenn, is the issue around the new Veterans Administration (VA) medical center in Aurora and VA mismanagement of the project.

An Air Force Academy graduate and retired Air Force colonel, Darryl Glenn would seem to have the upper hand on veterans’ issues. However, Bennet has demonstrated his ability to work with Republicans in completing the VA hospital. Bennet worked with other elected Coloradans, including Republican Senator, Cory Gardner, and Republican Congressman, Mike Coffman, to obtain full funding of the new VA hospital in Aurora. In May of 2015, they issued the fol-lowing statement, “...despite the failures of the VA, Colorado veterans deserve to see the completion of the world-class facility they were promised in Denver. They also deserve to see those officials responsible for the delays and cost over-runs that have characterized this project held accountable.

As members of the Colorado delegation, we are united in our conviction that this hospital must be built, and we will work to bring this project to its long-overdue completion.”

Furthermore, Glenn’s continued support of Trump seems to put into question the strength of his commitment around multiple issues including veterans’ affairs.

In the battle for the 6th Congressional District where the Veterans Administration Hospital is being built, incum-bent Mike Coffman has won praise for obtaining funding for completion for the hospital but also criticism for the hospital running $1 billion over budget during his watch. As a Marine Corps veteran and member of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel, Coffman has the inside track on veterans’ issues in his campaign against Democratic Nominee, Morgan Carroll.

Carroll in turn, has touted similarities between Mike Coffman and Donald Trump in television ads. Though Coffman has called for Trump to step down, merely repre-senting the same party exposes problems for Republicans. Coffman’s candidacy shows how vulnerable some down bal-lot candidates have become because they have allied with Trump or because their opponents are successful in showing similarities with Trump.

As with every four years during a presidential campaign, competence on veteran’s issues has become synonymous with patriotism. The next four years will likely show how sincere those elected actually were when making campaign promises. The completion of the VA hospital in Aurora, improved medical and mental health services for veterans and their families, and increased employment opportunities are among the issues that require immediate attention.

Un egresado de la Academia de la Fuerza Aérea y coronel retirado de la Fuerza Aérea, Darryl Glenn parecer tener la ventaja en asuntos de veteranos. Sin embargo, Bennet ha demostrado su habilidad de trabajar con republicanos en terminar el hospital del VA. Bennet se esforzó con otros Coloradenses elec-tos, incluyendo el senador republicano Cory Gardner y el congresista republicano Mike Coffman, en obtener fondos para el nuevo hospital del VA en Aurora. En mayo del 2015, hicieron el siguiente decreto, “… a pesar de los fracasos del VA, los veteranos de Colorado merecen ver que se termine esta unidad de primera clase que se les prometió en Denver. También merecen ver que aquellos oficiales responsables de las demoras y el costo adi-cional que han caracterizado este proyecto reciban su merecido. Como miembros de la delegación de Colorado, estamos unidos en nuestra convicción que este hospital se tenga que construir, y trabajaremos para traer este proyecto a un fin alargado”.

Además, el apoyo continuo de Glenn para Trump cuestiona la fuerza de su compromiso alrededor de varios asuntos incluso los de veteranos.

En la batalla para el Distrito del Congreso 6º donde se construye el hospital de veteranos, el titular Mike Coffman ha recibido elogios por recibir fondos para la finalización del hospital, pero también critícas para el hospital por quedarse con una factura de Uno billón de dólares sobre el presupuesto dado. Como un veterano del Cuerpo de Marines y miembro del Subcomité Congresista de Fuerzas Armadas de la Cámara de Representantes, Coffman tiene ventaja en los asuntos veteranos en su campaña contra la nominada demócrata Morgan Carroll.

Como ocurre cada cuatro años en una campaña presidencial, la competencia de asuntos de veteranos se ha vuelto sinónimo de patriotismo. Los próximos cuatro años mostrarán qué tan sinceros fuerón los elegi-dos al hacer sus promesas de campaña. La finalización del hospital de VA en Aurora, mejora de los servicios médicos y de salud mental para veteranos y sus familias, y el aumentó de oportunidades de empleo entre los asuntos que requieren atención inmediata.

Broncos move to 6-2I’m not sure if anyone else notic-

es, but when the Denver Broncos are referred to as underdogs or less than capable, they have a tendency to prove the naysayers wrong. Two weeks ago the Denver Broncos traveled to San Diego to face the Chargers for the first time this sea-son and they were obviously out-played and out-coached.

Last week leading up to the rub-ber match, there were quite a few critics who felt Denver was in the

midst of their fall from grace, while Denver fans kept the faith. As Sunday approached, the excuses as to why Denver would lose their home game to the Chargers riddled Internet, sports pages and social media. Denver on the other hand, took it in stride and came out to play the much-anticipated rematch like they know how, with smash mouth football.

Denver’s offense was able to get on the board first with a field goal but San Diego marched right back down the field and answered with a touchdown. Then, both offenses stalled and it was the defenses that took to center stage. Denver’s defense prevailed over the Chargers with the first pick 6 for Bradley Roby who caught the tipped pass by Rivers and ran it in for the score. On the same play, just before the tipped pick, Chargers running back Melvin Gordon was crossing to

the sideline on a route before being forced out of bounds and running into Defensive Coordinator Wade Philips. Phillips never got back unto his feet and as a precautionary measure the Denver Broncos injury staff tended to him, placing him on a stretcher and carting him off the field. Phillips was taken to a near by hospital where he underwent evaluations. Recent reports indicate Philips is in good spirits and has since joined the team.

The Chargers’ defense came up with their first turn-over, two plays after the Phillips injury on the sidelines. As quarterback Trevor Siemian dropped back, the pocket closed quickly and he was forced to the ground by Korey Toomer where he lost the ball and Toomer hopped on it for the recovery.

At halftime Denver went into the locker room leading 10 - 7. San Diego came out in the second half throwing the ball and Denver’s secondary took advantage as Darian Stewart caught another deflected pass and took it down to the Chargers 10-yard line before Devontae Booker trotted in for a 4-yard touchdown bringing Denver’s lead to 17 - 7. Denver would have one more interception from T.J. Ward when all was said and done and the Denver Broncos beat the San Diego Chargers 27 - 19.

Su voto será la diferenciade que la votación estaba prejuiciada”. Parece que para ella, un sistema “correcto” le permite votar más de una sola vez.

Pensar que el voto fraudulento está bien siempre y cuando su candidato gana’ rebaja y destruye la insti-tución más importante en una democracia. También puede descorazonar al ciudadano de todos los días y poner su voto porque se les hace creer que no lo lleva a ninguna parte.

Por eso cuando un candidato alega un fraude en el voto y que la elección es prejuiciada y luego descubre que el fraude del que él está hablando está en realidad siendo cometido por su propia gente, el acto es una evidencia pat-ente del engaño. Yo no digo que soy un psicólogo, pero he leído a Carl Jung como parte de mis estudios de graduado y encuentro que su trabajo en la proyección del consciente y el inconsciente de la visión humana resuena aquí.

Cuando una persona puede proyectar sus propias debi-lidades en otras cosas como fraude y “pre escogido” pueden ser herramientas del autor que busca en otros los elementos

de su propio carácter. Esto es peligroso especialmente cuan-do los pensamientos expresados van más allá de lo personal a acusar a toda la sociedad sin fijarse en su política.

En respuesta a esto, la tendencia de parte de los expre-sados negativamente es retirarse y no participar. La supre-sión del voto causado por versiones ilegitimas y conspir-ación no se puede permitir que infecte el trabajo importante y difícil de una elección.

En mensaje a cada ciudadano es de registrarse y poner su voto porque un voto representa un elemento más del deseo de la gente. Y no debe ser tomado por conspiraciones creadas por quienes tratan de convencerlo o usted de que algo anda mal con su lugar en esta institución democratica tan significativa.

Mi experiencia ha sido que cuando me registré para votar o tenía la oportunidad de identificar o no mi afiliación. Cuando yo vine a votar en mi precinto había por lo menos un demócrata y un republican que testificaban mi voto y tenían los ojos en los instrumentos de votación a su alrededor.

Ahora que tenemos la votación por correo y tengo la con-fianza de que mi voto será contado con precisión y espero que mi deseo es también el de la mayoría que es la meta en cada caso. Yo comparto esta confianza con ustedes y espero que se tomen el tiempo para registrase, llenar su boleta de votación en una caja segura y en los lugares indicados.

Recuerde que votar reafirma nuestra libertad y la lib-ertad de escoger nuestros líderes políticos. Esto también elimina a esos que buscan destruir algo que nosotros here-damos con nuestra Constitución.

Here’s what I have learned from mil-lennials: Your generation is the most open, diverse and entrepreneurial generation in our country’s history. And if we work together to take on the barriers that are holding you back and unleash your full potential, that won’t just improve your lives — it’ll make our entire country stronger.

You’ve reached for the opportunities that come with a college education at the highest rates of any generation in history

— but faced ballooning tuition costs and crushing student debt like never before. And yet, despite all these challenges, you’ve never given up.

Instead, you’ve fought for some of the most important accomplishments in our nation’s history. You’ve come together to challenge our country to protect human rights and strengthen families by fixing a broken immigration system, reforming our criminal justice system and ending the era of mass incarceration. And you’ve demanded

that people of color be able to live their lives without fear of being killed at a routine traf-fic stop.

In large part because of all of you, I am convinced that America’s best days are ahead of us. There’s a lot that needs fixing

— and we’re going to fix it together.Let me tell you about a few things I want

to work with you to change as your president.First, I worked with Sen. Bernie Sanders

to design a plan that will let everyone attend college debt-free. If you already have loans, we’ll let you refinance them, defer them to start a business or forgive them if you spend 10 years in public service. And we’ll make sure a four-year degree isn’t the only path to a good-paying job by supporting appren-ticeships and other high-quality training programs. Second, we’ll create more good-paying jobs, raise the minimum wage and guarantee equal pay. Third, we’ll make high-quality childcare and preschool available to every family in every community.

To do any of these things, we can’t have secret unaccountable money poisoning our politics and we’ll make sure that no special interests can get in the way of protecting and expanding civil rights, LGBT rights and all human rights.
