HOW LYRICS RELATE TO THE THEME: How lyrics relate to nobody caring was
before mama got fired nobody cared about them, what they did or how they lived there lives. What they wanted was for somebody to see how they lived and for somebody to care about them.

going to rise up to the challenge and show the Logans how he is going to stop the bus from splashing them.
EVENT: PAGE 52 The Logan kids dug a hole in the road so
the bus will not splash them anymore and show the whites how it feels to get dirty everyday.

digging the hole is they were going to show the whites how it feels to walk every day to school and they were not going to quit until they showed them what it was like to walk.

the lyrics it said she’s not backing down and the whites and blacks were not going to quit until they got the fire out.
EVENT:PAGE 231 Papa had to pay the payment that mr.
granger wanted now and the payment was not due then it was to early.

pay the rent to pay our share"
HOW THE LYRICS RELATE TO THE THEME: How the lyrics relate to the payment
papa had to pay is papa wanted to be treaded fair and Mr. Granger made papa pay the payment early and papa wanted to pay on the time he always has.
SYMBOL: Uncle hammers car

knows in his heart that he was cheating and no good will ever come from that.

LYRICS: There are two paths you can go by, but
in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on.

they were treaded fairly In Vicksburg so they chose to shop there instead of shopping at the Wallace store were they were treaded unfairly.
