1.Identify the goal.

2.Divide the overall job into manageable tasks.

3.Identify an outcome for each task.

4.Calculate a time for each new task.

Planning Study Time -How Long?

A rough starting guide, for every hour in class, you should plan to study for two hours outside of class. Then adjust up or down as necessary.

Plan blocks of time (e.g. 50 mins study followed by a 10 mins break).

Planning Study Time -What For?

Be specific about what you want to accomplish in each study period.

Congratulate yourself when you have accomplished the task.

Re-assess your schedule when you have not.
